His mom might have been a high priced escort, not a crack whore.

And I didn't know your moral fiber was reflected in your DNA. The OT never stops educating me!

buddy found out he had an adult daughter with a girl in college that never told him. Girl (daughter) took the test and found her dad that was him after 26 years.

Man I’ve never been more relieved to have been ugly and awkward in college.

Just get parents and siblings to do it. Close enough.

My mom's cousin found out my grandmother's (my mom's mom) father wasn't her biological father and decided it was a good idea to tell her in her mid-80s. Did not go well. Found out her sister was really just her half sister, etc.

I've had one for a while now I've yet to use. I've researched my family history as far back as I can, so anything it could tell me would definitely be a surprise.

Some people use them if they are unsure of their lineage and want to know it there are underlying diseases and such.

A friend of mine did a 23 and me one a few years ago. He was always told his family was Italian, turns out he was mostly Ashkenazi Jewish.
And he found out he had a half sister from when his dad was stationed overseas and had an affair

FBI pays to harvest the data and runs it in CODIS to look for potential exact matches and matches from next of kin of suspects.

If you are living right and your next of kin were raised not to victimize others, you shouldn’t be worried.

My younger and now gay brother found out he had a daughter from a drug induced one off with a older woman (mid 20s) when he was 16. He is 59 now and only found out 2 years ago when his daughter did a 23&me and started asking her parents family a lot of questions. She found him through Facebook and contacted him out of the blue. Became a Dad and grandfather of 3 overnight after having been out of the closest for 40 years. Very interesting family Christmas in 2019.

Don't use your real name and make up a throw away email address. Pay for the test with cash.

I'm retired military so the gub'mint has all my DNA info, but keep as much private as you can.

From my nephew's test, I'm 4% North African. Not surprising since we're Sicilian.

I did an internship in a forensic DNA laboratory if that counts. Skulls in boxes, fingers, ribs, a femur, lots of blood. Like lots of blood. Murder weapons. Bloody clothes.
