Back in the day, adults would just make the neighborhood kids get up on the rooves to string lights.

Just leave them up all year round. Now you have valentines lights, Marsh gras lights, Easter lights 4th of July lights etc.

It’s a family event for us. Putting em up is half the “fun”. My favorite memories of Christmas were putting up lights with my dad and watching him get all pissed off at the lights. The Christmas vacation scenes are like a documentary.

I enjoy putting up Christmas decorations. But I don't enjoy taking them down.

Christmas lights are like masturbation.

The excitement builds as you get out the lights and set them up.
Then the long slog to the big day when you just take it one day at a time with a goal in mind.
Then as soon as Christmas morning explodes on us you get an instant regret that you have lights at all and have to start the long clean up procedure.

Kige, while that’s a great idea, there’s nothing like coming home to some lights you put up yourself. Doesn’t have to be a lot. Even one or two strands of lights around the door or a tree would make you feel good.

That’s actually a fairly popular service out here in KC. It’s only $300 to $400.

My buddy has 4 acres of land that he decorates with 10's of thousands of lights. Dude bought an old cherry picker truck from the phone company just to put up Xmas lights.
