They've been proposing a change like this for a while and they're feeling the pressure from the activists so they're trying to find an end-around. I predict that if they do it, it'll have a good first week then flop. No way they get funding for a sequel. Rebuilding the brand with another white guy will be pretty tough too.

Because the goal of this movement isn't to start anything new, it's to change the current and the past in their image as atonement for past grievances
