But they were both done for the sole reason of sjw virtue signaling. So in that way, which is the only way the writers see as important, they are they exact same.

They're both fictional characters that are not tied to a race or gender and can be recreated in any way. You think the little mermaid changing is ridiculous because you don't particularly care about that character but you're not happy about 007 because you do care. Just admit you only care when it comes to something that you like. It's not tough.

If I had to guess, this chick with turn out to be a villain at the end because it’s a spy movie after all.
After this one they will completely reboot the franchise again. And this one will likely bomb, not because this chick is a side character in the movie, but because this film has been a disaster of a development since they started filming and everyone involved wants no part of it anymore

If 007 goes the direction of a black chick and they get rid of the James bond name, it's a level of jumping the shark that you really can't make up. I think it could only be topped by hiring a trans actor for wonder woman.
