Yeah, I saw the post about the guy hooking up with someone at a Jesuit reunion who had been on the homecoming court after I made my post. But, then I thought that we only had girls on the Homecoming Court. Of course, with Jesuit ya never know!

I have my 30th this year. Considered going, till they said it was $125 a person. Our last reunion we rented out a bar for $300 and they supplied a DJ. We had a pretty good time. This time around a chic who is a big wheel with Marriot is trying to go all out. 16 out 208 RSVPd last I heard.

50 th reunion was 2016. 104 in the class. good meet. catered dinner dance at a golf country club. The night was wayyyy too short to meet and greet. About 20 of us went to a coffee shop after for a couple hours.

At my 10th Reunion, (Class of ‘79), one of my female classmates had married a big dumb Irish friend of mine and brought him.
He perused the name tag table (because there were only name tags for ‘79 class members, not spouses) until he found the name tag of a black class member who was serving hard time at Parchman for dealing.
He wore that all night and is still commonly referred to by that dude’s nickname.
We ended up taking a cabin cruiser out and skinny dipping (five couples and a stray female). 11 souls went out, 11 souls safely returned.
That was a good night (and morning).
He perused the name tag table (because there were only name tags for ‘79 class members, not spouses) until he found the name tag of a black class member who was serving hard time at Parchman for dealing.
He wore that all night and is still commonly referred to by that dude’s nickname.

I've never gone to a reunion, but I still see people when I go out to bars and it's always funny how some big cool guy who was an intimidating jock when I was a Freshman and they were Juniors or seniors, and realize they're pretty short now. I kept growing and they didn't.

For my 20th one of the girls in my class who seemed to love the boys back in high school showed up with her lesbian partner - then for the 30th she was married with kids.

We went to my wife's 40th but it was actually from 1975-1985 so for some it was their 49 and for others it was their 39th. It was actually pretty fun. Nothing untoward took place but after the dinner some of us took bad drunk at a local BBQ / Bar / Recording Studio where a fantastic Reggae band from Fort Lauderdale was recording an album and did an impromptu concert. It was a BLAST.

I have my reunion in September, $150 per person. So if you bring a significant other, it’s going to be $300. I think the cost is going to hurt the turnout, but what do I know, I’m not one of the know it alls in charge.
I’m not sure I’m going to go.
