We’re supposed to get a good bit of rain roll in late today into tomorrow morning. Behind that instead of highs in the mid-90s, we’ll have highs in the upper 80s.

So, I’ve got going for me, which is nice.

I’m in northern Alabama FWIW.

Not just 10day on weather.com. I'm talking about some basement dweller weather nerd predictions on when we will catch a break soon.

Humidity and heat is going to quickly diminish beginning in a month and continue into the end of the year. With a high probability of that trend continuing throughout the first 2 months of next year. Conditions will then begin to return to warmer weather beginning the 4th month of next year and gradually get worse. This will peak in the 7th and 8th month of next year.

How am I crying? I've lived in this heat for nearly 40 yrs, just wondering if there's any "cool" mornings on the horizon. I'm aware that daytime highs won't come down until October.

For the entire rest of year, it won't get significantly hotter than it is now.

I just want some rain.

Or at least a cloudy day.

Something other than 103 degrees and sunshine and my A/C running 20 hours everyday.

I guess we are paying for last summer, where I don't think we ever hit 100.

at least half the year we have it.

It's really more than that.

How many Christmas Days have you spent in Louisiana? My recollection is that I can remember many more Christmas Days here wearing shorts and short sleeves than I can remember a Christmas Day in which I need a jacket.

Actually, I can't remember any Christmas Day in La. where it was cold enough to need a jacket.

Huh! That's interesting.

Best I can do is the sun will rise and set and it may be hot or not.

Rain is probable at some point as well.

September is always balls arse hot. Just slightly not as hot as August.

Getting hotter. It's simple measurements. You can argue the reason why but there is no way to argue that it's happening.

Just give me a solid afternoon or 2 of rain at this point is all I'm asking. My house in BR hasn't had a rain drop in at least 3 or 4 weeks
