Exactly, stop giving into BS when you are on the side of common sense.

I drove past on my way home from work around 6:30. There was a group of maybe 5 people across the street in the parking lot with a news crew of 2 people with a camera setup

I passed by around that time also. I didn't notice anything that looked like a protest. The most annoying thing I saw was the car going 25 in front of me.

I haven't seen any news coverage of the protest.

Is Stroubes still open? They had a delicious bread pudding.

I’ve never heard of Stabs, but I’ll be there next time I stay in BR. Sounds like my kind of place.
This. I will absolutely eat there next time I attend an Ole Miss/LSU game in BR. The first few posts I thought it said 'Slabs' and assumed it was a BBQ joint.

Is Y'mine a name or a slogan?
Posted on 7/30/24 at 9:38 am to RunninReb
Anytime I see a big group of Y'Mines I turn around. I used to enjoy going to Parrains but the last couple of times I went there were 2 or 3 tables of 10-20 Y'Mines. They monopolize the wait staff and just make dining unenjoyable for anyone else in the restaurant. I simple can't deal with Y'Mines.

Well first off, it’s Tuesday, which means I’m working to pay bills. Secondly, I have no idea what this group or that group happens to be mad at now, and don’t have the time or wherewithal to work myself into a frenzy over every little gripe and complaint this world has to occupy it’s mind, and wring it’s hands over.

any places left to go eat where u can usually avoid Y'Mines?
Posted on 7/30/24 at 10:04 am to Magnus
Yes. But I can't say. Don't want Y'Mine to find out.
Also, is it "why mean", "why mine", or "Ya mean" or "ya mine"??

Not sure, but from Facebook, her mom's name is Yasmine. So, I guess it's just a shortened version of that.

Must be a shitty bar if they’ve never heard of Hennessy

It was yesterday baw. And by the looks of things when I drove by, the “protest” consisted of five people sitting on the sidewalk on their phones so I don’t think you missed anything.

We don’t know what her crop top looked like when she entered the restaurant and when the pic was taken. I have no idea about the allegations that she sent food back and didn’t tip. Is that fact or assumption?
On the radio this morning, Condon was making fun of the protest and the cohost said he knew a worker there and they told him the titties were hanging out and the pic she gave the news was not how she looked when she entered. He said customers complained at how she looked.

If those are the facts, then there will be no apology and likely no response other than the one given initially. It will die down. She's seems to have a lot of social media support, but not from people who would actually show up for a protest. Did she even show up?

Did you expect much more? There wasn't a real chance of the protesters getting free stuff.
"Ain't got no time to be hangin' out and not getting a hand out!"

Let's war game this:
Stabs doesn't apologize. Customers who dress trashy, or support those who do, refuse to eat there. On the flip side, the customers who find such attire objectionable continue to eat at the restaurant (or go for the first time) because they know they business requires at least some minimal degree of class from their customers.
Which of those two groups is likely to have and spend more money?
