Here's an idea, disregard the source, watch the embedded video, and form your own opinion. Ben Carson is a devout member of the SDA Church, which is known for their radical and legalistic views.

The jury duty one is hilarious.

He's great until he starts flapping his gums about agw. It's amazing that someone so knowledgeable about the mechanics that drive planets and star systems can be so gullible regarding a misrepresentation of the processes which drive pur climate here on earth.

Well, I mean Ben Carson thinks the world is 6000 years old, and he's a highly intelligent neurosurgeon. The only problem is he's nuts.
While an atheist, such as Neil Degrasse Tyson, believes his brain is the end product of a mindless unguided process.
That's nuts. And it's nuts to believe such a brain.
If you get rid of God, then you are reducing thought to physics and chemistry, which means you are removing all meaning.

Damn that is an expensive ticket. $150/person? Not worth my money, no matter how much I like him
Agree, that's crazy. I can see him on TV or Youtube for free.
Can't imagine one of his lectures is that much better in person, especially since the odds of having any meaningful interaction with him would be nil.

$25 and I would walk over to the Saenger and check him out.
I couldn't make it to the Tulane show last year although I had free admission

If you don't see any point in existing besides worshipping someone you've never met, then that's pretty damn sad. I think there is much more meaning to life than just God, like say bettering yourself and those around you. That is your primary meaning is trying to leave the world a better place than you entered it. I think that some of you wackos imagine heaven being something like a glorified North Korea.

Here we go. And at least know what you're talking about:
Neil deGrasse Tyson: atheist or agnostic
He doesn't actually liked being claimed as atheist. He's a scientist. But congrats on doing exactly what he said people do in the video.

Wow, resorting to the "idiot" charge in an intellectual superiority argument. What exactly was awful in the first link? The author was pretty much on-point in the 2nd paragraph
He starts out the article by claiming NDT uses made up quotes and examples to fit his narrative...then proceeds to use the EXACT SAME method to fit his narrative.
quote:
Here’s what happens. Someone is diagnosed—I’m making up a very common example, for the purposes of this explanation—somebody’s diagnosed with terminal cancer.
Tyson admits he's making this example up. Author proceeds to use it as gospel and fact to run NDT into the ground.

Well if an intelligent superbeing living in the sky created people, he did a shitty job of it.
