It's obvious that you never contemplated your own worldview. In your worldview pulling a rock out of the water is the same as saving a person from drowning. Both are just chemicals. How does helping that person have meaning? According to you, that person is pointless, and has the same value of a rock. In your worldview, killing that person is no better or worse than saving them from drowning.

Look out, we have an internet PhD over here.

You've contributed nothing to the thread in either support or defense of the topic being discussed. A typical drive-by swipe from a poster unwilling to engage. Not that I need to prove anything to you, but I assure you my PhD is very real as is that of NDT. He simply overestimates the importance of his.

No I don't say that at all. A rock can't reason, can't feel pain, can't feel passion, and can't think. It's not worth my time. A human can do these things though, as can many other animals. They have a soul and spirit to them that is worth considering.

And going from your line of logic, God created both man and rock right? What's the fundamental difference there if they're both made by God? What if God said that rock and man are equals? Would you take that seriously or be capable of basic reasoning that man has a higher state of being?

From your worldview, wouldn't letting the person drown be more humane since they are 1 step closer to God?

I just spent 1:30 watching that Stephen Colbert interview of NDT that was linked in the NOLA.com article... That was great.

My date and I will probably be posting up somewhere for a drink. Would be nice to meet some people from here. I figure people from the OT going to this should be reasonably safe. Maybe...

I'm coming in from Houma so I'll probably get there just in time. Hopefully Tableau will still be open afterwards.

He reads the work of others real well and shills a political agenda pretty well too.
