Went once. Never again. The stench of unwashed masses and urine. Hard pass.

just checked and tickets range from $99 for local Thursday and $149 other days.

Based on the crowds it should be AT LEAST triple that price. It’s absolutely ridiculous the amount of people. This year, I even had to resort to buying a guy a ticket and paying him to get there when the gates opened to hold a spot for us when we arrived later in the day.

I love how they pick the rainiest time of year for jazz fest.

sometimes rain can make for some pretty good performances.

We don’t fit that description but Jazz Fest is a highlight of our calendar, rain or shine. All the people bitching about rain and flip flops like they’re going to melt or something if they get muddy. You don’t have to be 72 to see how soft people are today.

To be completely honest this is a very small price to pay to go to a festival that isn’t completely overrun by undesirables.

The fairgrounds must have done something with drainage as it is vastly improved from what I remember from 29 years ago.

Today was great. Not muddy.

You dont have to love it, but you must recognize that the two weeks of Jazz Fest, day and night, is the greatest musical extravaganza on the planet Earth. Fact.

I’m too lazy to post picture but 1980 Jazzfest was a mud fest.

They added drainage which is why it’s better now.

100%. Don’t even need to go to the fairgrounds.

Went Saturday and not really muddy outside of a couple areas. Was just fine. Their drainage has gotten a lot better over the years. Yesterday was probably the most beautiful weather day ever.

Was it 2006 when it rained enough to flood up to ankles? We got tore up in the Miller tent and then waded back to the car.

Jazz Fest fricking rules and always has.

I offer to fly the 2 down voters to Houston and stay in my house so I can fight you in my front yard and then send your pussy arse home.

No other down voters apply since I anticipate exactly 14 of them on this post.

I've had a few chardonnays

I'd rather date Winona Ryder in the seventh circle of Hell than goto Jazz Fest.
