Doesn't seem like they care to keep current customers.

I’ve actually called their Loyalty Dept a couple times the last month. Nothing more than like $10 off available, when I can usually get $30-40 off. Not sure what the deal is

AT&T is moving away from supporting the product, from what I've heard.

I think they are phasing it out everywhere except "rural" areas - link below to USA Today article.

They told me they could offer $10/month off.

I told them they could eat shite - I could get all the streaming services available and still save money. They didn't care. Let a 10+ year customer disconnect with no fricks given.

They still haven't sent me any instructions on how to send the receivers back.

Does she live in a rural area?

I was offered only a 10$ discount and when I said to cut it off, they quickly obliged and then for the next two weeks, I got all of these Uverse TV offers.

They want people on Uverse because they want to sell more broadband, not satellites.

I have been with DirecTV since it started. Over 20 years. I called to cancel and they just said OK and turned it off. They never sent me the instructions to return the equipment. I think they are going under.

Been with them 15 years. Contract been up over 2 years and with old equipment. Called back and got a slightly better deal at $117/mo. but then I found out the deal was for a lower package that the lady was glossing over. Set disconnect date at the end of the month.

Had a reminder set to call last month because $50 promo expired. They offered another $50 for 12 months and free Showtime.

I was paying like $120. Asked for discount and they offered me like $10 off. I asked to cancel and got sent to some other person. He gave me $49 a month for 12 months. No contract.

I found out key to getting lower bills if you have a bundle is to threaten to cancel both. Cable companies, frankly, make little money on cable anymore. It’s almost all on hi speed internet. That’s why they don’t care if you cancel the cable but keep your internet

I had called them 4 times to return their crap. Can them back mid Dec last year. Screw them even after 27 years. Got dish now with the same package that was just about half the cost set for a two year contract.

Same here. It's as if AT&T bought DirecTV out just so they could intentionally frick them up and sell them off. They couldn't give a flying frick if they retain customers.

I too was with them for approximately 13 years, and had enough of their shite. I didn't switch to a internet TV based streaming service, but rather switched to Dish. I need a satellite service, so I can have it at home and set a dish down at deer camp.

frick AT&T all to hell. They're a terrible company.
