Talk to your lender. They will get a completed report regardless, even if value comes out below your offer. It sounds like appraiser can't complete, so just needs to move on to another?
Call your lender/loan officer, find out when appraisal will be completed. Based on what your saying, it sounds like realtor is saying appraiser is having issues finding comparable 1 bedrooms, so report is not even complete? Lender/loan officer will have these answers - you paid for the report and will receive it when complete.

Disclaimer: very new to fishing, but a lifelong paddler. I also have to rooftop load (solo) almost exclusively.

I have a Crescent Ultralite - let me know if any questions or want to try it out (Baton Rouge area). Great performance relative to a 10' boat, and very easy to car top and set up - the seat is only piece to add/remove. It is also a good loaner/second boat, if/when you decide to upgrade to a pedal.

As a longtime paddler/kayak camper, I really didn't consider a pedal drive at all when buying my main sit on top fishing kayak - Jackson Kayak Yupik. I wanted something stable (I can walk bow to stern) that I could rig up differently, depending on trips. As I fish more, I really wish I had put more thought into the pedal drive - just more efficient with your time on water. Your going to remove the pedal with all other components when rooftopping anyway, so its just one additional piece to attach when setting off.

I will be upgrading the 12' to a pedal - looks like there are several options in your price range with hull weights 60-70 pounds. I'd recommend deciding on the kayak fishing you want to do first (stand/sit, storage options) and then worry about rooftopping - you can always get a Yakima showboat or something similar.

I would also look hard at the Crescent LiteTackle if you decide on paddle or are a relatively larger man - the extra stability/storage will probably come in handy nearshore, without too much added hull weight.
I think they are phasing it out everywhere except "rural" areas - link below to USA Today article.

Don't know if this will help significantly, but my insurance (USAA) offers a "storage" insurance option - essentially just bare minimum coverage as I understood it.

At very least, it will lower your next month(s) payment until tags can be traded in.

Definitely want to confirm details depending on whether the car is truly going to just be sitting there or not though. Wouldn't want to sacrifice significant value/usefulness down the road just to save a few dollars this month.
I agree (in a general case), but for that to be effective some of that has to be inherent in their existing relationship. It doesn't sound to me like the dad has ever been "disappointed" in JM, and the financial independence JM has had since draft (and probably at A&M) on his own, their relationship/dad's "power" had completely changed. JM needs to decide on his priorities on his own or nothing is going to stick at this point. Once the knowledge is there that everybody around you (in parental/advisory capacity, not friends) believe a certain way, there are only two options: listen and trust them, or disagree with them.
From my extremely limited understanding, no. Areas with salt domes/mines, etc. will obviously be significantly more susceptible, but the majority is just as likely as pretty much half the United States.

USGS Sinkholes

Probably have to worry about man made issues more, such as the result of intentional water diversion.

Worth the read? I've seen movie several times, most recently ~2 years ago. I'm always hesitant to go from movie to book, although this does seem like a plot where you might benefit from a little more insight?

I thought it was dumb that he left before it was over and it really didn't seem to add anything to the story.

Agreed. That part seemed forced; I understand the thought behind him leaving, but it could have been done a number of different ways more aligned with the overall story. I thought the official yelling and storming around was terrible; perhaps just terrible acting, but definitely terrible.

Has anybody read the book?

Take the source for what its worth, but the general idea seems to be God. I've seen similar stories reflecting the same (but can't find now)

wouldn't hurt your enjoyment of the series

If time is a constraint, then definitely won't hurt to hold off on the first until after. But reading the first WILL enhance the enjoyment of the rest of the series (both books and HBO IMO) through the details and storylines that are only scratched by the HBO series
Is it even logistically possible to use alternate transportation for an entire NBA season?
Stay away from "I Melt With You." Solid cast with Jeremy Piven, Rob Lowe, Thomas Jane, and Christian Mckay, but turned into an awful "thriller." Very disappointing for such a good cast
