Every year, just me or now just me and the wife.

I’ve done it many times. I lived away from my family for quite a few years. I just opened gifts sent by my family, made hot chocolate, watched tv and took naps. It was great.

yes...as I ranted about in a previous thread today my childhood Christmases were full of exhuasting obligations that never stopped and were miserable. When I got to college and was out the dorms, I said I wasn't coming home and doing any of it as kind of a frick you.
For the point I was at in my life I loved it. Made a feast of shite I liked, watched what I wanted...got high and drank and ignored guilt tripping texts from family.
Now a days I still have a hard were not going anywhere and noone is coming over on christas day rule...but it's me and my wife's first christmas with our son...and I've never been more excited

This is honestly a lot sadder of an outlook on life than this

No, but I remember when the Fonz was all alone in the garage eating beanie weenies out of the can until the Cunninghams invited him over.

For the last twenty two years.
Did love it when the kids and grand kids were young.
Get into the story of Christ birth which makes it a special day in that since.
But for the most part it just interrupts my schedule.

I hate Christmas. I don't want to be around anybody.

Yes. It was glorious.

I’ve spent many Christmas holidays alone, not a big deal.

I’ve said it many times on here, but if you feed on misery, spend Christmas at the casino. It’s magical.

Get everything Christmas out of your head and have the mentality that the 25th is just like any other day. Find activities to keep you busy like cleaning, reading, watching movies, and taking care of projects.

Ive done it and it was not bad at all. I am a huge music buff so I turned the TV off, put on some tunes and just chilled the frick out with a cocktail....
Wasnt bad at all.

Laid in a hospital in Houston listening to Christmas carols on pandora on my phone.
I made it.
Christmases are awesome. Spend it with someone.

It's not that bad. Just another day. The Chinese restaurants are open but busy and there's no one fishing. Sometimes there's good football on.
