Friend got an online quote for his 2014 Prius in fair/below fair condition for around $17,000. Freaking crazy. He's looking to straight up sell with no trade-in. He got a quote from a dealership for a new SUV, and he will be purchasing that vehicle.

Anyone have any experience doing this with Carvana? How did the process go?

We sold my wife's car to WeBuyAnyCar.com. We told them what we wanted, they hemmed and hawed. We got up and left. Hadn't gotten a quarter mile down the road and our phone rang giving us our asking price. Turned around and signed the papers.

This was my experience as well, and selling to Carmax was simple.

WeBuyAnyCar.com.

They run radio ads that I hear in Birmingham that are just absolutely awful.

Sold one to Carvana because their offer was way higher.

Sold one to Carmax because their offer was way higher.

Both were very easy, although Carvana was easier because it was all online. Meeting them was 10 min of signing and them handing me a check.

Carmax, they were super busy that day and I mostly just sat around posting on TD.com for 2hours, then signed and got my check. Still a very easy process, just took longer.

I sold a car to Carvana. Got offers from Carmax, Carvana, and GiveMetheVIN and Carvana was much better than the other two.

Drove to Houston and dropped it off there. Instant transfer of funds to my account. Zero issues.

I've gotten offers for three cars from CarMax. I took one, declined on the other two and did better elsewhere.

I tried. Sent them all the info and pictures etc, they offered me $900.

Put it on FB and sold to the owner of a used car lot for $4,900.

Should have added $250 for wasting your time, or kept on going.

Check out Vroom, a cousin of mine got about 6k-10K more than Carvana and Carmax. They came and picked it up, signed the paperwork and got his check next day.

Yes. I submitted some basic info about the car, they gave me a quote, which was pretty good all things considered.

I set up an appointment. Guy walked around to confirm what I submitted was accurate. Between that and the paperwork I was done in 15 minutes, money in my account the next day.

Couldn't have been easier.

It was easy. But they text and email every few weeks asking me to sell them other cars I have like I’m Jay Leno or something.
