If so, how did you get it fixed?

Yes
Inversion table. But that’s not the fix. Temporary relief.

Im struggling with that now and have been for a year or so. I have started stretching and yoga type stretches and it has helped a good deal but the pain has not completely gone away and will still flare up

Piriformis stretches is a good way. If you have any actual ligamentous hypertrophy or a bulging disc then I’m afraid a trip to a neurologist or ortho spine guy might be necessary

Went from zero pain in my lower back , butt and leg to debilitating pain in 2 months. I'm talking in a wheel chair. Fast forward thru 2 drs and MRI, I had a synovial cyst between L4 and L5 growing and pressing on nerve. I had a laminectomy and fusion within 2 weeks of diagnosis and good as new now. Not a fun surgery. I still have a weakened leg and tingles with slight numbness in foot.

Yes, I only get relief from stretching and it’s temporary. My wife actually has to have surgery to repair hers. Pretty brutal. If you haven’t been seen by an orthopedist, do so. It may be more than just nerve pain

Go see a PT. It may be something as simple as an inflamed or misaligned SI joint which is pretty easy thing to address.

Yoga is your friend. Open those hips up and you'll notice a world of difference

Lose weight and stretch daily. Hip flexibility goes a long way. And find a good chiro. (Not a strip mall joint or chain chiro)

Yoga-type exercises and stretching. Go see a reputable PT and they’ll recommend some stretches that target the issue. You’ll also give you some exercises that will help more permanently than the temporary relief of stretching.

The workout gear you’ll use is cheap to buy on your own and if you’re disciplined, you can ditch the PT after a while and just do everything at home.

How old ya'll be ?

While attending LSU I had a summer job ( for 4 summers) delivering 55 gallon drums of lube oil for oil rigs in the gulf.

Each drum weighs about 400 lbs.

On the average I would load/unload ( onto a work over barge) about 100 of these suckers per week.

25 years later I'm paying for it. In the morning I am very stiff with phantom pains until I stretch a bit. After that I'm good to go.

Lose some weights and get exercise. I had the same thing a few years ago; realized it was because I was getting fat.

Stretching and strengthening my glutes. Weak glute muscles cause all sorts of problems.

Edit to add: Do these!

I have occasional nerve pain in my right hip. I stretch for that and while sitting, if it bothers me, I’ll shift my weight to the left side of my buttocks, lift my right leg to put my heel on a coffee table, then rotate my foot left and right to work my right hip. It’s better in just a minute or two.
