There’s some guys on YouTube that build LEGO cities that are massive. They’ll spend thousands of dollars on LEGOs and they still have families. I mean it’s cool to look at once or twice but definitely a waste of money.

If I ever built a model city, I would admire it for 5 minutes upon completion, then blow it up with fireworks.

I've done some train sets for my nephew and played SimCity and Cities: Skylines for fun.

Saw this and was interested in doing it but just haven't had the time or patience to go through with it:

At least in SimCity4, I think it was ctrl+x and you would enter whatever cheats you found on GameFAQs.

That's extremely cool.

Just so we are clear that was a 1:2000 model of NYC built for the 1964 World's Fair conceived by Robert Moses and it took over 100 people more than 3 years to build. It resides in the Queens Museum of Art today.

I was just taking the piss in an OweO thread.

Peyton Manning. His buddy was like WTF? Other people who have are the subject of internet memes related to depression and incels.

Except for architecture students, it's fine and good to build models if you're getting paid or it's for a grade. But you don't want to fill your house with that shite.

As a kid i did a HO gauge train model on a 4x8 sheet of plywood... nit really a city, more like some country towns.

I've had the itch to do it N scale now... now I have 3D printers, CNC router, and laser cutters....buildings, bridges, etc should be a lot simpler.

If I built a model city I’d put stairs everywhere so just in case you were shrunken down you would know you weren’t wanted there.

Good for you fr33. I must really be in your head if you would do that all because of me.

Anyway, I was looking at cities people built out of legos. Some of this must have taken a long time.

I see there are sections of the fortnite map available, It would be cool to see the whole map built.

No, but I have a map of the United States... Actual size. It says, 'Scale: 1 mile = 1 mile.' I spent last summer folding it. I hardly ever unroll it. People ask me where I live, and I say, 'E6.
