I have no problem with the idea of it. My biggest problem is like anything else companies slap a rainbow flag over their logo "for the cause" just to capitalize on it.

You're partially correct but the tragedy of it was that the city and state largely ignored a major fire in the French Quarter that killed 32 people. The man that set the fire was never charged, families left bodies of their children unclaimed, funeral homes refused to perform services. It was callous indifference by New Orleans officials to human beings that were burned to death.

Asides from it being a sin, which should be enough to try and distance yourself from it, it is a mental illness. We are essentially saying that mental illness is perfectly fine, and that no matter what the implications of its acceptance are we are to accept it blindly. I said back when gay marriage was made constitutional that a Pandora’s box had been opened. The argument of the lgbtqrstuv crowd was that you can’t legislate love. Well that is an incredibly stupid argument. The concept of marriage as we have come to know it is not simply based on love. It is based in the Judeo-Christian concept of it being a Holy Matrimony that was more spiritual then physical. The idea that marriage is based on love alone is stupid in another way as well. If marriage is simply based on love, then we are inevitably going to have to acknowledge the marriage of others as well. Including those who “love” trees. They’re called ecosexuals. This is nothing more than the normalization of mental illness. And it has had consequences, and will continue to have consequences. We are already seeing the rise in those calling for the acceptance of pedophiles on the basis that was used for the acceptance of gay marriage; you can’t legislate love. We are to accept them simply because they have love.

I don’t fault you for thinking this way, I used to be the same way. I’m blessed because I had an incident that allowed me to see the truth, and I was given a chance.
Those who are lgbtqrstuv are indeed suffering from mental illness. A potato can call itself a tomato, but that doesn’t make it a tomato.
If marriage is nothing more than some antiquated nonsense, then why advocate for the mentally ill to have the ability to get married?

I’m tired of it. I believe marriage should be between man and woman. I’m not going to protest anything the gays want. They can do whatever the hell they want, get married, frick, etc. It’s just not a lifestyle I support.
I always hear about the fight for gay and trans rights. What rights do they not have? Can they not vote? Are they not able to purchase alcohol and tobacco products?
And IF this pride deal is so important to them, then there should be ZERO raised eyebrows when someone wants a straight pride parade.
Lastly, if the gay community wants everyone to be open to their lifestyle, should they not be open and accepting of someone’s lifestyle that is different from their own?
