I’ve been eating fried foods all my life. Love them and will continue to do so.
I’ve always looked at it like this. What do u truely want? Quality…or quantity.
You can eat rocks and sticks and run to nowhere 10 miles every day and admire yourself in the mirror and presume you’ll outlive assholes like me.
But will you?
I’ll admit the odds are in your favor because I’m going through a fight. But…it’s not really up to us.
I have a better chance of being hit by a comet than a bus where I live…do you?
Take care of yourself. By all means if that’s what’s important to you. You have chosen quantity. I’m at quantity . It’s not great.
I’ve lived a quality live by doing and eating exactly the things that tasted good. I’m still in pretty good shape but have never run away from or toward anything for my body and never lifted anything that I wasn’t being paid to lift.
If u fricking see me running…you’d better run, too.

You have a point. We usually only had one overweight kid per class.

My local mear market sells rendered hog fat (from cooking craclins) for $8 a gallon. Nothing better to fry fish in.

I started buying lard to season my cast iron skillet. At some point in time society got it in their head that liquid fats are somehow better or fewer calories than solid fats.
Hardly anybody cooks with lard or crisco anymore but obesity is higher than ever so vegetable and olive oil obviously isn't helping and crisco wasn't the problem.

Funny that most people think cooking with regular lard is worse for you than canola, vegetable, sunflower, safflower, etc
Would do our population a great value healthwise to switch to using lard again

I use olive oil mostly and avocado oil for high temps and for eggs. I don't like the taste olive oil gives eggs. I use saved bacon grease when I have it as well.
