Anyone else noticing lard shortages?

I love using hydrogenated lard to cook with. It just adds a flavor to meats that you can’t get with the various vegetable oils that are more popular now. Animal fat makes food taste great.
I went to my Walmart Neighborhood Market and there was none at all. I had to go to the Walmart SuperCenter to find it, and there was only a couple tubs left. I guess the COVID pandemic has messed the supply chain for lard up in addition to everything else.

Yes. We have plenty of lard here. They are passing through Disney gates every day.

At the airport, no lard shortages here.
Checked out Rockpit Brewing earlier, very cool spot.

Shortages? Shoot, the yoga pants can’t even hold all the lard flowing through the grocery stores.

When I think of cooking with lard, I think of the cook from down periscope.

Save your bacon grease, keeps pretty much indefinitely when refrigerated. Free and no shortages.

The Latin groceries all have it. It's a staple of their diet.

Also, T-Boy's in Mamou sells it by the 5 gallon bucket.

Funny that most people think cooking with regular lard is worse for you than canola, vegetable, sunflower, safflower, etc
Would do our population a great value healthwise to switch to using lard again

Back in the day I stocked the baking aisle. Three pound cans of Crisco was one of the items that we sold huge quantities of. The volumes i see on the shelves nowadays wouldn't last 4 hours back then. glad things changed.
