Will the new stadium be able to handle all of the cell phone traffic?

That's bullshite. TS has been in that location since the 30s, but suddenly its in danger of sinking to a point it can't be played in?? They just added the new addition with this in mind?? It may be sinking but it ain't moving either.

If there's anything Baton Rouge--and Louisiana in general--does well...it's infrastructure and wise use of public dollars.
I've been thinking for a while that instead of building a new bridge south of BR we should just move the Mississippi River instead.
Although it doesn't make as much sense as relocating the river, moving Tiger Stadium seems pretty easy and totally reasonable.
At least then we'd have a great place to put a new zoo.

It's been less than 8 years since they broke ground on an $80 million expansion project. theres not something they didn't know then that will necessitate building a new stadium.
You're right about this but I hope it's not 20-30 years away. That's a project that needs to be done sooner rather than later. Lower bowl and concourse renovations are the most desperate of Tiger Stadiums needs
Citrus Bowl went this route. Completely demolished everything but the upper decks.
I'd be shocked if we see something that extreme in TS but a complete gut job of the interior bowl wouldn't surprise me. My guess is they reduce capacity but install a lot more of the chair back seats like the ones in the South Upper. That's what Aggie did with their renovation vvv

Don't the uppers just basically sit over the bowl? They should be able to take out and rebuild the bowl without touching the uppers

They’re going to play at Dutchtown?

Not sure how much they’ve remediated, but TS was full of asbestos.

Guys, guys,
You’re thinking about all the good times at Tiger Stadium and all of the smart logical reasons it makes no sense to move it regardless of sinking.
Buy you have to ask yourself this, have you thought about the kids of the Governor’s 3rd cousin who have to wait 3 months to get an in-ground pool installed if their dad doesn’t get the bogus consulting project to study this thing?
No you haven’t, you selfish bastards.

Sinking? Cool it will be like the Rose Bowl. We’ll just enter then walk down.

I think that is stupid because I’m sure whatever land down highway 30 will have the same problem being by the river.
I assume with modern construction methods they would be able to prevent it more easily. It wouldn't surprise me but I don't like the idea of an off-campus stadium.

It will be up by winnfield.
In 30 years the gulf will take over 30 miles of the entire gulf south. Florida will be a couple of islands east of tampa st pete.

BR is like 60 miles inland.

Tiger Stadium will be moved next to the off ramp of the new BR loop. HA
