No woke people
No riots
Blacks and whites get along, say hey, open doors for each other
No police bashing
Nobody cares about masks

Sort of like a modern day Mayberry

Happy to live close enough to Mayberry and Metropolis to enjoy the benefits of both.

Where do you live?

Personally I love living in a large city and have experienced the same things you described (minus the masks, but that’s just common sense in a populated area). But to each their own.

I don’t consider places like Austin Texas, Madison WI, the Bay Area, nyc, nova, or Los Angeles to be legitimately American cities

They don’t represent what makes this country amazing

Aside from the last few months, I’ve loved living in Oxford... it’s really a nice oasis amongst a large sea of shite .

If you people don't stop singing the praises of small town/rural living you're going to ruin it!

It is terrible! I hate it. No redeeming qualities. It is hotter here. Stinkier. The people are slow. There's nothing to do. You'll hate it, too. So.....don't come.

I’m with you in theory, I really am but the reality is that small town america is basically meth heads. As unfortunate as it is, those Normal Rockwell postcards don’t exist any longer.

Pick your poison. The best you can do is find a conservative pockets of burbs.

Meth heads are like free range chickens. They go everywhere.

Yes, shut up about it dude.

We had a small "protest" in town, but it was organized by this tranny kid no one likes and some friends of its from Asheville. A few high school kids joined in and your typically leftist parent, but we just laughed at them until they went home.

You do realize that disavowing people and places that disagree with what you believe in is the exact definition of misrepresenting what makes this country amazing, don’t you?

Of course you don’t. Because that would involve using your brain and not letting emotions get the best of you.

New York doesn’t represent America? Holy shite, I bet post-September 11, 2001 you would beat your arse red for saying that.

Sumner County- 20 mins from Nashville. Nice and quiet out here. Although we did have some troubled youths come out here the other night and cause trouble. They were driving down the highway shooting at random cars.

Franklin TN is Southern Living’s #4 small town in America in 2020. We’ve been ranked higher by other publications. No ragrets. Not even a letter.

I grew up and have relatives in some small towns in NE Missouri and Iowa. Towns were great up through the 80’s. I go back about once every other year to visit and they are severely depressed. Almost everyone is overweight and the businesses are boarded up. It’s sad. Maybe this whole work remotely thing will allow more people to move back and build them back up a bit. Believe me, I would love for this to happen.

Have you ever been to a major city? Drugs are far more prevalent and you have a much higher chance of running into crackhead there than in BFE, America.

Yea I like my spot it’s far enough from the city that no one really gives a frick about mask and yet close enough to go enjoy the day
