Anyone else get a monthly call how to turn on the DVD player from their parents?

And then it takes a 5 minute conversation to tell them how to get to HDMI 2 and turn on the DVD player?

Not even kidding.. enjoy your parents and realize you're being a shite thinking they are inconveniencing you.

No. Helps that my parents are both whip-smart and great people besides. Love 'em to death.

I know, but this time was particularly annoying because my sister was home and was confused why the DirecTV logo was still on. She should know that by now.

I wish I still was fortunate enough to have parents that could talk to again...

Mine is from grandparents. "Apple TV stopped working again, something must be wrong with the connection"

When in actuality they just logged out of their Netflix account

I have to drive 25 minutes to input their email and password in to Netflix once a month

Today was how to insert a row into excel.

The shitty thing is when we get that age, excel will be something else that we don't have a clue about anymore until we call the kids.

Yes. And it always ends with them asking "can you come do it for me?"
To which I respond
"No, because you won't learn how to do it then, and I'm not going to do this every time for you"

Frustrating yes, but eventually when they pass you'll be wishing they were calling you again.

I get calls all the time about cable and internet problems or if my mom hits the wrong button on the remote and it messes up the tv. My mom does not know anything when it comes to electronics so its not easy to help her over the phone. She is about to 70 in a few months and I swear she is losing her mind so that doesn't help either.
