It’s a gift when artists can make the audience feel what they feel inside.
Can't tell you how many times I had to rewind during the first listen to make sure I didnt miss a key point

Rap lyrics are entertainment used in one of the last truly uncensored art forms.
Thats like saying Alpacino isn't allowed to speak out on the opiod crisis because he played Tony Montana in Scarface.
The juvenile lengths people go to to discredit others is so disingenuous. Its not even remotely clever.

Also nice job working in a 35 year old movie reference to help your argument

Killa Mike is actually a pretty solid dude. He's not your typical gangster rapper guy, I can't say I've ever really just heard him glorifying murder or what not.
Perhaps in his early days when he just started out, but since I've started following him that is definitely not what he's about. If you're looking for a guy who's not afraid to critique black people and some of the issues we face, KM is your guy. At the same time, he doesn't shy away from racism/police brutality, etc. He may be one of the few guys who not afraid to talk about both things.
I don't agree with him on everything, but I do respect him.

This thread is a perfect example of people seeing and hearing what they want to.

Killer Mike name means “kill the mic” as in drop hot bars to break it down to people who have no frickin clue.
Funny there are people who like him only because he has family members that are in the force

Not really. I would say if anyone needs to speaking about any kind of BLM it would be Killer Mike. He’s not afraid to put his own on check and he doesn’t follow the typical liberal agenda. Maybe it’s because he’s from the south and not the East or West coast.

To answer your question...nope. Because i realize you don't know who he is and where his name came from

No guilt over here. I know who I am and am comfortable and sleep well.
Would find the same way to explain and help others appreciate any artist that I like.
What would it make me if I did the same with Wheeler Walker Jr?
He’s on my playlist too.

Johnny cash had multiple songs about shooting ppl and doing cocaine but he used his platform to advocate for native americans. whats the difference?

Killer Mike is a f’n national treasure. You shut your whore mouth. Just kidding. All that guy does is dream about sex all day.

I think Johnny Cash would have applied Kill Your Master to drug addiction. See how that works. Remember metaphors.

You’re missing his point, but killing your own slaves is objectively vile, dude. Shooting a literal slave master in the face I don’t think most modern people would have a problem with.

I would't have a problem with it either. However when i watched that presser live I just thought about how it seemed a poor choice of attire to try to preach a message.
