Yeah. It's a great diet.
I did smell one of my kid's waffles in the toaster yesterday and had some fat thoughts. But the urge doesn't override my will.
It's easy to keep it clean after week 1.
Plus, #Gainz are making the Nitro flow like beer/wine with my 913.

Are you a physician?

I don't.
I do want some Zapp's Hotter'n Hot, but I'll wait another 15 pounds.

That's because you should be counting net carbs, not total carbs
You aren't giving yourself enough credit.
Subtract fiber from total carbs on all of your veggies, then use that number for your total "carb load."
I usually eat around 35-40g on my Keto days, but no more than 25-30 of that is true "carbs."

It is even better dipped in a small amount of almond butter.

I did it for about 10 months straight, then went paleo.. then fell off the wagon and put some weight back on.
Now I'm basically doing flexible dieting, but limiting my carbs to ~30% of my diet. I also avoid added sugar as much as I can, but a little here and there gets in. It's resulting in much slower weight loss, but much more satisfaction in my diet. I don't have to give up much.

Anyone doing Keto?
started Keto in June 2014. Went from 303 to 220. Think I'm one of the resident ketards on the food board diet thread.
Tips?
Chicken Wings, particularly Blue Oak BBQ's

I want some pizza.
I make fathead pizza with italian sausage, peppers, onions and anchovies. It is better than damn near any "regular" pizza you can find.

It's a low-carb dough. Google it. Easy and delicious.

I love how people say calories watching is the main thing to watch when losing weight. Yea sure if you are just trying to lose weight, but most people want to lose weight by getting healthier. If you eat 1000 calories a day, but the food you eat is Snicker's bar, sure you may lose weight but is it healthy? Now if you eat 1500 calories, but full of vegetables/fats/proteins, even though you may not lose as much weight as the Snicker bar scenario, but you will be much healthier.
Also if you guys like that high % chocolate, yall should try the cocoa nibs or cocoa beans, which are 100% raw chocolate. They are intense in flavor, but really deliver that deep chocolate flavor that I find lacking in most things. I eat them plain, but you could dip them in honey also.
Another thing about keto, is you can absolutely eat very carby foods if you do it properly. There was a guy (maybe a dr) on youtube who stayed on ketosis, but still eat bananas and other high carb foods, but timed them before doing some psychical exercise. He was able to eat these foods, burn them off for immediate energy (for exercise, or playing sports, etc) and still maintain ketosis.
Another thing is that the FDA guidelines is a joke, and those who are hurt the most from it are the children in public schools. You think public schools will go against the FDA guidelines for serving kids lunch? They will follow it and it helps keep the kids pumped up with high sugar levels.
