I’ve had bad hand and forearm pain in both arms. Did a nerve test and Neurologist said I have carpel tunnel in my right arm(in right handed). Said that during the test and said we will go over treatment when I come back and he has more time to evaluate my results and blood work.

It’s always throbbing and hurts to type or right. My grip is very weak as well

What have y’all done for relief? Has surgery helped?

If you’re in the NOLA area go see Dr. Wax. He’s one of only a handful (no pun intended) of hand specialists in the state.

It's pretty hilarious that someone went ahead and even named this syndrome to begin with.

(I agree with your answer to this poorly worded topic question.)

I had my left wrist done in April of 2017. I didn't waste time with pt, straight to surgery. I couldn't hold a phone without losing feeling in my fingers, my grip was weak, I couldn't ride a bike without my hand going numb, etc.

Surgery was quick, recovery went smooth. The pain and numbness were gone immediately. I would say after about 6 months everything was back to normal. I was out of work for 5 weeks and went back with no issues.

If you are feeling constant pain, discomfort, tingling and numbness do not hesitate. Your hand will feel so much better.

I saw online that vitamin B-6 might help.

Had surgery in both hands. All better now. And, yes, the nerve test hurt.

Nerve test sucked donkey dick.

I’d rather surgery just to rip the bandaid off

How soon could I work from home and email one handed and do phone calls?

I heard it’s minimally invasive

Nerve test was the worst of it. I had surgery on a Thursday and I went back to work Monday. The only good thing about the nerve test was that the technician doing the test was a smokeshow

Lol same here. She did 90% of it then the neurologist came in and wanted to redo some of the nerves and asked to crank up the voltage. I also feel out of the chair

I'm pretty sure I do. I just got referred to a neurologist on monday. My dr says the neuro can conduct a nerve exam.
