Is the 50 person limit in effect at grocery stores or like medical facilities are they exempt?

They have a 50 person gathering limit in my city but schools, daycares, and businesses are exempt so I'm trying to figure out who it even applies to.

I have heard they are letting 10 in at a time at our local HEB but no confirmation on that.

Went to Rouses. Didn’t see anything indicating any limit.

I wouldn't mind grocery stores enacting a limit for just a couple of days so I can see some good fistfight videos.

That's not happening in Dallas at least. Central market, not regular HEB, but still.

I just went to rouses in Thibodaux. Nothing out of the norm, no barren shelves, ordinary crowds...

I swung by one this morning around 7. It wasn't very crowded, but most of the shelves were still pretty bare.

But to answer your question, I think they'll mostly be exempt from the recommendation for the time being. They may have to start enforcing it at some point, but now sure how they'd do that.

No one reads articles anymore, only headlines.
It does not apply to grocery stores. It applies to businesses and areas where an appropriate safe distance cannot be maintained. You can generally stay the frick away from people at a grocery store, not so much at a bar, club, or party-like atmosphere.

I went this morning around 7 am. to a local grocer. Just like a normal day. I say this because they had bread and chicken on the shelves and in the cooler.

I didn’t check for TP or Clorox Wipes.

But no screening done whatsoever and there was no one counting people inside at any given time.

Went to WM earlier and there wasn't anyone stopping people from coming in.

all workers had on gloves and was wiping shelves, buggies and registers down.

Been to both Costco and local IGA today and neither of them have any restrictions. Costco still out of TP and the local IGA had a few 4 packs and several single rolls left. Bread is going fast, wiped out completely at local IGA. Lots of people buying bleach at Costco. Parking lots packed both places, (completely packed, as in circle lots several times to find a spot).

Never any worries at Rouses on Lee at Highland. In fact, I have never seen more than 20 people in there ever.

I went to costco a little while ago. Pretty crowded and the checkout line was insane. However, it was the most efficient thing I have seen in a while. It made chic fil a look like popeyes.

I hit Sam's Club two Saturdays ago for a normal supply run. Glad I went then instead of diving into that 3 ring circus.....

Kroger looked like a bunch of Katrinacans had looted it yesterday about 5 pm.

Every isle was 3/4 empty, no bread, meat, paper products etc etc etc

Going to The Pig here in a little while, will report back. If they are out of lard, things are bad.
