They might approve it though if you had it in either Destin or Disneyworld.

So far there arent many on the sign up sheet for mine, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it got canceled. However, I think you have to have already paid to show up on the sheet so there could be people just waiting until the last minute.

Honestly, I don’t relate to most of the people I went to school with being that I’m not married, don’t have children, and don’t live in Central. So there’s not really much to catch up on.

Plus the people who signed up so far are all people I barely even knew in high school.

Y’all had a multiple night reunion?

Our class reunion was a three day event. Friday night there was the dance/party. Saturday night was a night cruise in New Orleans and Sunday there was family day. For my 10 year reunion I just went that Friday night for about 30 mins.

This past year was my 20th, I didn't go to anything.

There are a group of guys I have been friends with since HS, who I graduated with. We all stay in touch on a regular basis, go do things together from time to time, etc. From time to time I will see other people I graduated with, but I have no interest in spending a whole weekend with them.

Sounds like a joke but when you get there and hear about your classmates who are no longer around, you won’t laugh so much. It is daunting.

Went to the 5th, it wasn't really anything special.

Skipped the 10th, my group of friends from high school went to NYC to visit a friend who lives there. Saw pics from the 10th, looked lame.

5 year reunions are trashy.
I went to my 10 year reunion and reunited with my now wife and mother of my kids. Had not seen each other since the day we graduated.

My ten year is next year. I will probably go, but the people I want to see, I already see.

Invitations for mine were sent out via Facebook. I don't have Facebook, so I didn't find out until a few days before. Half of my friends didn't know either. Plus, they wanted like $100 to go. The organizers have all of our numbers. I didn't go, because they didn't have the courtesy of calling or mailing letters.

I have no problems with anyone from HS, and always enjoy seeing them around town. 90% of us stayed in NOLA metro or went to Houston. It just pissed me off the way it was organized. From what I heard, not many people showed up anyway. Maybe they will pick up the phone for the next go-round

I went to my 10 year, and I never saw a reason to go back.

Yep. Met my second wife at my 30 year reunion and 18 years later we're still "hooked up".

My 20 year was interesting...side bets on who would be the first one to get drunk enough to go swimming in the hotel fountain.

Damnit Keith...I lost $10 on that sumbitch.

New Orleans reunion would be fun. For those of us that went to schools in smaller areas of Louisiana it would be cool to have the reunion in a destination place like Vegas. But there are a few who never left our hometown who would disapprove of this i

Most people only get one vacation a year and they dont want to spend it with a bunch of people they barely know anymore.

I had the misfortune of being coerced into a reunion committee one time. The guys wanted a one night fish fry. The girls wanted a bunch of activities over a weekend. The girls won out, and the reunion was poorly attended. I will never be involved in organizing another one, and probably wont go at all.

Tara High Class of 2002, skipped the 10 year that I think they had at a Golden Coral. Never kept in touch with more than one or two people from my actual high school, so no intention of ever going to a reunion.

My 10 year was a lot of fun. Everyone looked great. All the women were much better looking than in high school. More sophisticated and mature looking. The 20 year reunion was an eye opener. The previous 10 years had not been kind to anyone. A lot of fat, homely, balding people at that one.

Went to my 10 year reunion last year, it was surprisingly a ton of fun. Really it was just everybody put up some money to rent out a place and have a huge bar tab. Ended up hanging out and talking to people that weren't really my close friends back in school for most of the time.
