He couldn't live off a credit card for all of 2 whole days?
Was longer than that. He lost it on a Friday evening...that Monday was a holiday. Iirc...he had some bills due the same time. I just remember my friend telling me about it when it happened and what an inconvenience it was.
OK, so he couldn't live off a credit card for a week?

All the time. I don’t like making deposits over $1000 at an ATM.

When I need Cashier’s Checks
When I have a large cash deposit or withdrawal
When I need foreign currency
I have a Safe Deposit Box, once a year for it.
So about 20 times per year

My banker and I discuss financials over a finger of JW Blue.

If so, why?
Made it easy to get the check to close on my house. Other than that I don't have any personal use for it at this time in my life.
I used to make frequent cash deposits so it would be nice for that.

TBH you can scan all that
Absolutely not. The point of original documents is that they are the type of documents where only the ORIGINAL documents will suffice. You keep them in the safe deposit box to keep them... safe... until you have an occasion where they are needed. Your home safe will not have the fire or theft protection that a bank vault affords. My original documents are vacuum sealed in the safe deposit box in the vault in the bank, just in case the vault floods or water is sprayed into it, though my bank uses Halon fire suppression inside the vault.
If anything happens to them, it's because the universe doesn't want them to exist any more.

I still use the bank when I need to get a few sheets of checks or s cashiers check but that's about it.

This makes no sense unless you're depositing cash, which would also make no sense.
The daily limit for mobile deposits varies between $5,000-$10,000 depending on your bank.

AT Least once per week.
I own a small business and about 30% of people still pay in cash. It drives me nuts. I HAVE to deposit it every Friday at a Brock and mortar bank.

Many businesses need B&M. It’s a lot easier to send a runner to deposit checks from payors than to sit sit and enter them on a phone. And there are a lot of businesses that still deal with checks....ie insurance.
That said, I don’t use a B&M for personal banking. Ever.

And I guess if your balance is small the interest difference is small, so if you're poor you might not care too much. Is that what you're saying?
If you have enough that a percentage point actually matters, why the hell is it in a bank and not properly invested?

I like to have a place to go drink coffee in the mornings while I’m making my daily rounds/errands.
