Bought a pair a couple of years ago when I was in Nashville.

Very comfortable and have held up well.

I have a few pairs. The pre-mainstream boots are better. Black Jack is my favorite brand.

They are not as good as Lucchese but they’re still a good boot.

Nothing I said was incorrect - and I got downvoted for it i guess it came off hard arse-ish.

They use pre-shrunk leather, the boots will never mold to your feet like Lucchese’s will. For the price point that they have gotten too, they are not worth it. You can also find the factory in Mexico that they use - I think they are just producing for tecovas now but there’s similar factories down there.

I have a pair, I wanted to like them but their quality is absolute shite, if you’re going to dress up and want a cheap pair of exotics every once in a while sure - they’re your best bet for that. But, for $200 more you can get an entry level pair of lucchese’s that will be much higher quality, last, and mold to your feet.

I have the brown bison loafers. I love them. They look good with jeans, khakis, or shorts.

I also have a pair of their square toe bison boots. They were so hard to put on and take off that I barely wore the first year I had them. I’ve started wearing them more recently and it’s gotten easier.

I have a pair and am disappointed with how fast the soles wore out. I'll be getting Lucchese next.

I own two pairs, and they’re very comfortable.

I also enjoy just walking into the store to look around, since they’ll fix you a free whiskey or tequila to sip while you browse.

Is this another thread where cowboys wear leather soled boots?

Because Luchesse is on another stratosphere price wise.

Unfair comparison. Ftr, I am not a fan of Luchesse’s fit. Beautiful boots but Anderson Beans feel light years better.

Need to go to the Lucchese store on Westheimer and have them make you some customs. Full bar to drink while you design them.

Yeeeaahhhh……been in there. Scary place. Get boozed and spend way more than a fricking casino!

But you will have some nice boots to show.

I have a pair that I have worn since 2016. Soles have been replaced twice. Wear them to the office often.

I’m looking to finally get a second pair of the ostrich for Christmas. They aren’t the sturdiest boots but I only wear mine to the office and to events. I like them bc you can wear them casually or dress them up. You won’t regret it.

The worst is the wait, once you order it’s a year before they are ready

Tecovas ain’t real boots. They are OK if you’re not gonna be working…or if you’re more worried about your facial and mani pedi

Chisos… seriously. Watch a few YouTube videos on them and the comparison to Tecovas and Luchesse… love mine.

Luchesse’s have gone to shite quality wise unless they're the customs or older 1883’s, do a quick search… an off the shelf JR& Sons from Cavenders are better. Coincidentally Luchesse is going the direct to consumer route like Tecovas… ask yourself why?

Bought my first pair in San Antonio in 91? at their store there. It was nice then.

Excellent boots, but I feel like the quality has declined a bit.

Can’t say I’m some sort of boot connoisseur as I’ve only worn Ariats before Tecovas, but I have really enjoy the smooth ostrich ropers I got for Christmas last year. Minimal break in time and are nice enough for work but casual enough for regular wear. Got the matching smooth ostrich belt as well. The Wade

Seems to me that you should declare whether any of your boots are square toe.
Maybe others don’t care, and I respect that, but that is an important matter for some folks who are assessing your views on boots.
I prefer pointed toes.
Just a matter of preference…
