I lined up basically head to head with Trindon Holiday for two years when he was at Northeast(I was weakside DE, he was wing back, usually away from the tight end)

Dude talked a lot of shite, and pretty much totally backed it up. I think I touched him like...2 or 3 times in two whole games. He averaged probably like 300+ yards rushing on on us, would return every punt and kick back for a TD. It was insane. The fastest human being I've ever seen.

Also had to tackle Big Baby a few times when he played FB/HB at U-High. I was only a freshmen so thankfully I didn't play much, so it was only a few times.

A few of my buddies played that AAU team with Garrett Temple, Big Baby, Taz Mitchell...I don't remember is Tyrus and Bass were on it or not. Maybe Darnell Lazare?

I don't really remember, but that team was fricking stacked

Brian Roberts (NO Pelican point guard) graduated a year before me in HS. I remember playing pick up with him after school.

Let's see. Brandon Fields (Dolphins punter) was our starting center in basketball. But I didn't play with him so not sure if that counts

Grew up with Patrick Reed and went to middle school with him after he moved to Baton Rouge. Played middle school golf with him and he would destroy everyone. He would outdrive everyone on the team from his knees. Went to visit him in Georgia a few years ago and went to the Masters with him (I was still in HS he had just moved to GA) and got to go hit balls with him again. Then we went to the putting green and I beat him in a putting competition once. That pissed him off and he proceeded to not miss one putt after that.

I've gotten dunked on by him as well. Also dunked on him a time or two. Used to play pick up games at the rec some and went to a few camps with him.

Tommy Banks' dad hit a home run off me that I think is still in the air. He absolutely crushed that pitch!

Was the catcher for West Monroe when they knocked us out of the baseball state playoffs in '96.

None personally. But my roommate used to be a top 100 basketball prospect out of high school and while on a visit to Harvard, he and Jeremy Lin (while Lin was at Harvard obviously) went to a Celtics practice and they played a little game with some of the players. Long story short, he went up to dunk on Kendrick Perkins and the dunk went off the back of the iron . he had some knee injuries in college so he says that was the highlight of his career

Played against former Cowboys TE Doug Cosby 4 times in HS when he was at Saint Francis. He was probably the second best TE in our league. The best was a guy named Rick DeMartini who was a man amongst boys-every, school on the west coast wanted him. Unfortunately he got in a boating accident that mangled one of his arms towards the end of his senior year. He had NFL written all over him.

Went to a camp with Jerry Robinson (Raiders-Eagles LB) between our junior-senior years (Him at Cardinal Newman, me at Serra). He was so much faster, hit so much harder, was so much stronger than anyone else at the camp. He was a freaking beast. Everyone, myself included cringed when we had to go up against him in drills. He hit me so hard during one drill, I think I just wet myself remembering it-and it happened almost 40 years ago. Off the field, I remember him being a real nice guy.

used to play pickup basketball at the gym at second baptist church in houston back in the early 1990s.

clyde drexler and Olajuwon for some reason would show up with some of the other rockets 2 or 3x a month (this is when drexler was still playing for portland).

one time it was just the 2 of them sitting around waiting on some people to show up so we challenged them to a 5 on 2 game.

no, we didn't come close to scoring.

At basketball practice I stepped in front of Terry Bradshaw to get a charging call. Terry was not a great basketball player, but of course, very big for the times. He didn't slow down or divert his course on bit. I stopped hurting about 3 years later. But, he still played second string behind me, therefore, I can brag that Terry Bradshaw was second string to me.

My best friend played flanker at LSU. He said his first practice and the first play, Tommy Cassenova knocked him down 3 times before he got to where he was suppose to run (his route). Said TC was laughing the entire time.
