I’m looking at jobs and they’re hiring people with drafting experience. Anybody got any experience working there?

I hear the work environment isn't the best, but a job is a job

Is it for NASA or one of the contractors out there?

I reckon it would be a neat place to work at, for sure. You’d be around for some of engine tests coming up in the next few years for SLS.

I guess employee morale would depend on how well the company you’re working for treats it’s employees.

The wife and I do....this is my third different job out here. It’s clunky, but a cool place to work.

Loved it Worked there contract work while in school Gravy

I grew up in the early 80s going out there with my dad so I knew to take the offer.

My dad has some cool shuttle engine tests, VHS home video, before the first shuttle flight. He also has some home VHS footage of him and his co workers inside the fuel tank at Stennis (NSTL) at the time.

He worked at Michoud and also has home footage of Robert L. Crippen, and John Young's welcome back first Shuttle mission ceremony at Michoud. Pretty neat. St Aug band marched

is it a place where you can rely on to have a job for a long time? i still have 37 years to work in my life and i don't want to be moving from job to job all my life every few years.

I have. I'm guessing the job would be with S3? I liked the people I worked with a lot. Just be warned if/when the contract changes, the new company that comes in will restructure eliminating the upper management and some middle management. It was a tense couple months when it happened.

Depends on the company out there. Lots of contract work.

I was offered a job there after school but I was already employed. I knew I would love it there, but I also knew the company was contract. Sure enough, within the year those guys were gone.
