Anybody ever been to a black "day party?"

I'm at a bar watching football and the second floor of this place is closed off for a special event. The only people I've seen go up there are our darker brothers and sisters. One of the guys running it (seemed straight) randomly walked up to me and told me to come up there and hang out and said he would get me in free. Not sure why he singled me out. He said it was a day party but its 8 pm here. Good or bad idea?

It was either a random party with some black people or they were gonna rob and eat you when you got upstairs.

I've been to parties where I was the minority by a large margin.
As stereotypical as this sounds, I was invited to this black guy's house. Once a week him and several of his friends get together and play cards and cook. He is an older guy.
I was looking forward to playing cards. When I got there they were outside eating fried chicken, which was some of the best fried chicken I ever had.
To my disappointment they didn't drink and they only played cards for fun. So I hung out, eating fried chicken and playing spades with some older black men who takes playing spades for fun way too serious.
As stereotypical as this sounds, I was invited to this black guy's house. Once a week him and several of his friends get together and play cards and cook. He is an older guy.
