I love traveling to new places that are different than what I’m accustomed to. So it’s fair to say I do GAF about traveling.

Same but I just watch No Reservations now.

By the age of 40 I realized no matter how I tried, I don't give a shite about food or culture. not enough to plan a trip around it. I do love scenery though.

Josh, every single day you are heavily downvoted and laughed at on this board.

For the record, you would say the problem is everyone else, and not yourself, am I correct?

I don't like it as much as I used to, doing more for work though, which I can stand alright.

I used to like living different places but I like where I am now.

It does, especially when your toddler becomes a young adult. Traveling with your kids when they are old enough to understand what they are seeing is great. Sharing experiences with them is one of my great joys. Conversations happen that would never occur at home.

Nope, it’s sufficient. It was intended to be a retort against smeg’s idiocy concerning broke Millenials, not as some grand brag

If you mean on the OT, you’re being absurd, because I post here every few weeks.

If you mean on the Trumpkin echo chamber that is the PT, then yes, I would say the problem is with you mouth breathers

There are two types of anti-travel types of folks.

The first group has traveled and just don't like the expense, crowds, flying, etc. and are more content to stay home. These people are A-OK.

The second group is the hillbilly motherfrickers who, be it due to finances or fear of being out of their element, have never even been on a plane but talk shite about traveling as "cover" for their own shortcomings. These people are assholes.

My ex-girlfriends father was this. Wouldn’t take his wife and kids on vacation, but would go spend a week in Colorado sleeping in a tent with his baws hunting elk. Acted like a hard arse but was afraid of his own shadow when he visited us in DC.

I enjoy traveling to historic places. However I believe when u travel you should end up back home, unlike so many immigrants. What’s the use of traveling to France to find it full of Muslim culture ? Why travel to France at all when it becomes sharia ?

There are two types of pro-travel folks.

Those that donit either because they need to for their livelihood or because they are genuinely interested in something they can’t see or do it at home. These folks are A-OK

The second group are the vanity driven hipsters that frick up their financial future trying to travel all over the world for the sole purpose of being able to tell their friends they’ve seen the fricking Lourve and talk shite about people who have neither the inclination nor finances to travel. These people are assholes and constitute the majority of people in this thread.

I do, but I don't want to go very far anymore. I've traveled a bit already (all over the States, a year in London, went to Mexico for a few months for charity work) but the older I get the less I like to fly.

I'm not scared of flying, it's just that the whole flying coach experience is so much shittier than it used to be. First class is expensive unless you get bumped.

Airlines and crowds have taken a lot of the fun out of it. There’s been such a bum and travel that a lot of cities are pretty much overwhelmed by it and are trying ways to decrease it

Traveling is fun, but I find Google Street View to be a much more efficient and affordable way to see the world.

For real. No one wants to see a dozen pictures of food or some AirBnB.

Travel is an investment in yourself though, if you are generally curious. I don't see it as a waste of money if you get satisfaction and memories out of it.
