Trump supporters, no fault of their own, are, for the most part, mentally ill. They show all the symptoms but be careful pointing out those symptoms to them because they’ll be offended. Ironically, victimhood and being offended are symptoms of their mental illness.

Leftist projection 101 here.

If you want to better understand Portland in a funny way, watch the show Portlandia. It could never be made today because it is a direct shot at
how weird it is & makes fun of all the White liberal hipsters there.

Portlandia’s last season was in 2018. It’s not like it was some show from the 70s

I don't know about mentally ill but I know a heaping pile of MAGA folks and to a person they have severe emotional problems....substance abuse, disabled at an early age with phantom ailments like fibromyalgia and agoraphobia (but only when it comes to going to work, when it comes to going to get beer and cigarettes they don't think twice about leaving the house). Almost to a person they have been in multiple failed marriages, are estranged from their kids or other family members, have multiple axes to grind against any number of groups of people from former employers to teachers and coaches and entire races of people. This is of course purely anecdotal but every super MAGA person I know, and even those who are kind of MAGA, have some serious emotional issues that they don't even recognize as issues but everyone around them does....sad.

Wait, this can't be right. I heard one of the dims just today saying Portland is a huge city and this was isolated to one city block and it was only 20-30 people peacefully protesting.

He ain't wrong.

Was in Portland this past weekend and had no clue this was happening

We had a nice time. Pretty area. It’s a shame the crazies took over there.

I have been to Portland probably 30 times since 2020 and never saw any protests at all. I had medical appointments in Portland during the height of the George Floyd protests and people in SE Washington told us we would surely die getting close to Portland...yet never saw a single protestor.

I was eating with a friend and one of his employees in a restaurant in Buckhead (Atlanta) on May 31, 2021, 2 days after the CFB HOF and CNN were vandalized during the George Floyd protests. A big part of that protest had taken place directly across the street from where we were eating. We were discussing the protests and the friend's employee said something along the lines of "cities being burnt to the ground". Thinking I had missed some pretty important news I asked what city was burned to the ground and his reply was "Atlanta". The same Atlanta we were having lunch in, directly across the street from where most of those protests took place. Less than 48 hours later. I commented it was a miracle of biblical proportions that the city had been burnt to the ground and rebuilt without a sign of any damage in less than 48 hours. He admitted that maybe it wasn't burnt to the ground but there was certainly fires started, and he was right...and that was bad enough, there was no need to speak in hyperbole, a single small fire would be bad but suggesting entire cities had been burnt to the ground is childlike exaggeration.

Irrational fears are crippling. There are about 700,000 people in Portland. At best there may be 500 protesting at any given time, usually far fewer than that. That is about 7/100s of one percent of the population. The vast majority of those protesting are doing so by chanting and holding signs....such a threat the world has never seen. Its all hyperbole based on irrational fear.

This is rich coming from a leftist like you. You looked in the mirror and described the modern democrat voter and then called them MAGA.

No one believes this, you pedo.

Let me get this straight. You hang around a “heaping pile” of people you despise, apparently know intimate details about their marriages, medical conditions, grocery habits, etc etc and you think they’re the ones with emotional issues?

This is not research, it’s a weird obsession. You’re accusing people of being bitter, broken, and delusional….all the while writing 500 word manifestos about them on a Tuesday afternoon.

You’re a fricking weirdo.

AugustaDawg is the perfect example when people, correctly, point out that liberalism is a mental disease

Perfectly timed drivel showing that I was right in listing you as one of my worst 3 posters. Not only do you incessantly vomit BS, but you vomit so much of it that it requires extra scrolling by everyone to pass it.

ETA: just a quick search turned this up, from New Mexico

A political-attitude survey of people with disabilities has found them to be more liberal than the general population, as might be expected in a group that often accepts government services

In the surveys, 52 percent of those with disabilities identified themselves as Democrats and 23 percent as Republicans, compared with the general state population surveyed of 43 percent Democrats and 39 percent Republicans.
