Richards,Team or Tiger?

Avoid Team Honda at all costs
Tiger is great...I've heard good things about Richards
ETA: Team Honda is about as sleezy a car buying experience you can get. Their "finance guy" is a fat POS and their salespeople can go suck a dick

I've purchased several Honda's from Richards and have always had a decent experience. Email them all with what your looking for and see who will give you the best price.

Also on the anything but Team Honda team.

Just who's team are you on?

I’ve purchased from all 3. Team is so chaotic. Both times I’ve bought there included a ton of waiting around and misinformation.
Richards had the best customer service.
Tiger had the best prices, so that’s where I bought most recently. Customer service was fine.

When I was driving Hondas, I bought ALL but one at Team. Unless they've changed, I'd buy again there. I bought one at Richards and the sales experience was good but service was horrendous. I've been buying Toyota for a while now so my go to now is Price Leblanc.

Richards gave me a smoking deal on a 2011 Honda CRV. I'd recommend them as they were easy to deal with.

I’ve bought from Richards and Team. I recommend Richards, and despise Team. Richards was very easy to deal with and negotiate price. They also worked with me to get the car I wanted, even offered to let me drive the transfer from Covington to BR. I’m not a fan of their sales staff in particular, but they were easy to work with. Service is not so great and I usually deal with Team for service (had a transmission replaced).
I’ve heard good about Tiger Honda and Honda of Covington. HoC offered to beat everything Team Honda was offering on my first Honda, but they called when I was literally in TH’s parking lot to sign paperwork, after a weeks long ordeal that burned me on everything Team Honda. I just wanted it done.

That's the issue I have with Team Honda. Their sales model is built upon the old 90's way of doing things.
Dealer offers price, I counter.... "Oh let me go see what I can do for you"
Salesperson goes and shoots the shite w coworker talking about Saints football for 20minutes before returning with a counter to my offer. This cycle goes around 3-4 times despite the fact that I have already negotiated a fair price with the online sales guy prior to coming into the dealership.
Finance guy enters picture. I decline the underside protection coating. His response, "So you're telling em that you're the type of man willing to endanger his family by not ensuring they don't fall out of the bottom of a rusted underside?" "I know I'd get it for MY family..."
They use the same guilt tripping tactics to sell cars that old mothers use to hold power over their sons.
Oh you don't want the extended warranty. Let me make you sign 15 papers acknowledging that you declined the warranty. And then with one last attempt to sell the warranty to me, the dude literally unrolls a 32" long scroll of "everything the warranty covers" and asks me to sign it as well

I contacted dealers from Houston to Slidell and Barker in Houma gave us the best price. I asked for otd from all and they gave the best price by far. I asked the others to counter, and Honda of Slidell was 500 more, team was 2k more, Richard's was 1700 more

Did I mention that the sales guy asked if I "recognized his last name"
when I asked if he was related to an old famous football coach by the same name he looked disappointed and said, "Well yeah he's my distant uncle but I also played professional golf myself"
Turns out the dude played in a couple Web.com events.... GTFO with that shite

Bought my first brand new car from Richards Honda in 2008 while in college. I had a pleasurable experience and have since worked in the Car Industry. Not now, thank god
.
Avoid Team Honda. They suck at all facets of the business ie service, initial deal, dealer trading etc.
edit: I worked for another Honda dealership so I know how they should operate.

Team is hectic because they are one of the busiest in the state.

I bought a Honda from Tiger Honda shortly after they opened
The finance girl straight up tried to scam me
They use some tricks to try and trick you into extended warranties. Luckily I’m not a dumbass and caught her. I almost walked out on the deal because of it.
Since then everything was going well. I liked their oil change service, it was quick and fast. They had a special service section just for oil changes.
That is now gone and you will wait over an hour for an oil change.
Then I had the LED trim on my head lights go out. They gave me shite and finally swapped them on warranty. 6 months later they went out again and would not warranty the lights because I had driven over 12,000 miles. This is a known defect on the headlight.
