Any OTers attend Woodstock in 1999?

Watched the doc on Netflix. Looked like a blast. Was it as uncontrolled and volatile as it looked on TV?

I was there. Despite the misconceptions, Woodstock was a tame and controlled event. No drugs or drinks.
In all seriousness it sounded like absolute mayhem

It ended up being a shite show with some serious troublemakers basically rioting. Sad how that played out but that kind of music wasn't the same vibe as what they had in the sixties and neither were the people's mindset and attitudes.

lots of toxic white men, so probably

Somebody posted on here once about attending a show that had widespread panic and DMB back in the 90s. Man that must have been crazy. Seems more similar to Woodstock than the hard rock groups that played in 99.

I was on Phish Tour that year, a much more authentic Woodstock vibe.

Pretty good 3 episode series. Looked like a 300,000 party in International waters. Zero rules.

I'm watching it now.
Boobs everywhere. Looked fun.

If you look real hard, there's at least 4 pairs to tits in that picture.

And they say my generation is the crazy ones. You guys were nuts back then.

The shite spewing from the port-o-lets with people wallowing in it laughing about playing in the "mud" + the total lack of basic sanitation with zero trash removal was toxic in 3 days of sweltering heat.
Those event planners/promoters/$$ backers were severely unprepared for that kind of scene.
And the genius that planned the handing out of 100,000 candles to the crowd should've been shot on the spot. That crowd acted like animals for days on end and they gave them materials to make fire on the last night? WTF?

I was there for most of it - we bailed out a hole through the fence because we were tired as shiite by the middle of the RHCP set and wanted to go home. Left our tents and supplies there and didn’t bother packing - pretty much just a gym bag full of dirty clothes by then anyway.
It was definitely uncontrolled, but not very violent until the end. Never felt unsafe, but as a 21 year old guy at the time it would have taken a lot for me to feel unsafe.

The last 3 acts on Saturday were Limp Bizkit Rage Against the Machine Metallica (peace love and happyness)
What could go wrong. Lol
Plus I think they had raves every night so no downtime

The chick on the right side about halfway up the frame in the black bikini top flashes her tits several times if you watch the video of LB@woodstock on YouTube.
I wanna say some baw in the crowd grabs a handful of them at one point.
ETA: That’s a cool tattoo on Fred’s Forearm.

Is this the same doc that was on HBO, the "whitey bad" one, or is this something else?

Korn stole the show.
It’s not Fred Durst fault either. $10 bottled water, $12 slice of pizza. Not to mention it was on an abandoned AFB with those kids standing on asphalt in the middle of the summer.
