Old college roommate, best friend, best man at my wedding, godfather to my eldest is scheduled to be married 1st weekend of June in Portland, Oregon where he and his fiancee live.

I'm serving as best man at this wedding; our whole family had flight plans and lodging lined up, and I was preparing his bachelor party starting off with a pontoon boat cruise in the evening on the Willamette River.

Now everything is up in the air. No decisions made as of yet, but it's not looking good.

Anyone else encountering this situation with a friend or family member? As we get closer to summer I'm sure this is coming more into play.

I was supposed to attend my sisters wedding in Mexico City last Saturday. Obviously that didn’t happen. They had to postpone it about two weeks before the date - felt awful for them.

They’re moving it to March 2021.

You think it's bad for them, my friend is in the wedding business renting out linens.

Every event she had through June has been cancelled or postponed.

Supposed to attend best friends wedding in Chicago, leaving April 11th. Obviously it has been canceled. We booked through Priceline and got refunded our hotel but the airlines refuse. They get a huge bailout and won’t refund the people’s money that is what is bailing them out. They are double dipping as far as I am concerned.

Had a buddy that ended up just doing a smaller ceremony and everything turned out great

Can't imagine the stress people are going through that had something planned

We have multiple wedding invitations all being postponed. I just got married in November. Glad we didn't have to deal with all this BS.

Yes. Neighbors getting announced they're getting hitched up last year, planned for the end of this month. I had already sent'm gifts. I recommended they enjoy the shite and delay the wedding.

Poontang boat cruise in the evening on the Willamette River would have been a better idea.

Yep. My wedding was supposed to be April 18th in Colorado. National Parks are closed and the elopement service cancelled.

Can't even do a courthouse marriage because courts are closed and can't even get a marriage license.

I was supposed to get married in Italy the first week of May. I got all the money back except about $400 so I’m through the moon. I’m shocked I had to cancel because baldona told me I wouldn’t have to worry about traveling with chink flu

My wedding was scheduled for June 11 at a ranch outside San Antonio. The venue has been great working with us. We’ve postponed everything until July 2. We will consider ourselves lucky if that goes off without a hitch.

Our honeymoon is still planned for the original date, which had us flying out on June 16. I doubt that holds up.

My brother's wedding is early May. They already cancelled the honeymoon, haven't pulled the trigger on the wedding just yet. Still going on the bachelor party though.

Yes, at least two weddings I didn't want to go to, I now don't have to go to. No travel expenses/hotel, etc.
