My kids have been in Catholic schools for the past 18 years. I have never once gone to one of those classes and was able to fully participate in anything I wanted to at school. Really don't think it matters, but it is more of a "CYA" on the part of the archdiocese

I edited my OP after you quoted it. One weirdo raping a kid is the fault of the one weirdo. 2,000 weirdos raping god knows how many kids is the fault of the system protecting them.

Thus I have to go check some e-sign boxes that I won’t rape kids. And I get to pay nearly $10,000 a year to do so.

Why wouldn't you just send them to a Baptist school so you don't have to worry about them being molested and turning into creeps?
this is a joke, right? My gay uncle was molested at a ‘Baptist Camp’

He made great apple pie, though

It used to be that you only had to be certified in safe environment if you were a volunteer?

Also, the trainings for Boy Scouts are crazy, too

Schools and Prot churches are just as bad

Uhh, No. I don’t know if there’s anything that has ever compared to the Catholic priest sex abuse travesty or whatever it’s called. And that’s only based on what is known, after records and docs destroyed.

And I hate thinking or writing about this shite, so frick you for posting something so stupid and deceitful that it needed response.

I’m on year 4 and have never had to attend one of those classes. And the school my kids go to actually has a history w a former priest molesting some kids 30ish years ago.

I also have not volunteered for anything that would have me in charge of any kids other than my own; so not sure if that is a difference from why OP is taking these classes

Gives new meaning to the phrases:
“By the touch of His hand”
“Touched by the Holy Spirit”

In the spirit of Norm McDonald, for those of you offended by the previous joke, please note it was written by a Catholic.

I have 3 kids in Catholic schools and I have no idea what you're talking about. Never had to take any such class. What diocese is this?

#1 reason to not continue to contribute to the organization.

According your own logic displayed in your post, then you’re funding child molestation.

Had to do that to be a "volunteer" at my kids school. The video you have to watch made me sick. Regular people of all professions, ages that you would never think, would groom and attack children. Other dads, coaches, teachers, doctors, lawyers, etc. And they agreed to talk about what they did on the film to help others become aware of what to look for.

I don't allow my children to sleep over at other's houses after that. You just don't know people.

The whole thing is asinine when you sit back and look at it.

I couldn't agree more when all they have to do is boot the homo priests and the Bishops who obstructed justice.

Instead they put the onus on the laity to cover homo priests/ bishops asses.

This is really weird. Sounds like a good way to have sheltered kids who grow up to become turds who can’t handle the real world.

no its really weird when yall say shite like this'

when you work in a professional world, you dont have to deal with shite heads

I want my kids to be around other professional kids and to grow up to hopefully be a professional.

ever heard the old saying, show me your friends and ill show you your future?

it pretty damn accurate.

would never want my kids to deal with the class disruptors and the bull shite that government schools put out. at least until high school after they have a good base and even then its questionable.

I'm assuming he's one of those people who don't consider Catholics as Christian?

Also, we have 2 different Episcopal schools here in Lafayette that are looked at in high regard, or is that also not considered "Christian" either?

I think most kids that are preyed upon are outsiders or vulnerable in some way. No way they go after the well adjusted kids who have a voice otherwise…or they wouldn’t make it long.
