No offense, but I find this comment odd. Maybe you were in rural town? I had an office in Tokyo and the food options were diverse, including a ton of American food options including a traditional “sizzler.” You could definitely enjoy rotational sushi but also Tapas, steaks, seafood, American fast food, Italian, Mexican…even Krispy Kreme, and more. One of my teammates was half Mexican half Japanese, but grew up in California. He was excellent at finding good food.

I work with several Polish people. They are hard-working, smart, folks. I like them a lot. Their salaries are lower than our's and they complain about the lack of infrastructure in their country. They don't have the road system that we do and outside the big cities, a lot of conveniences disappear. They are also well aware of how close Russia is and have a long history with them.

That’s been my experience. I work with a bunch of Japanese for work. They do two year rotation in the States for work.
Shintech?

I guess the biggest downside would be the close proximity to Russia though.
I started reading this thinking you were asking about PORTLAND until getting to this part.
Never been to Poland but I’ve heard it’s a worthwhile place to visit and that some of their cities have become quite beautiful.

I heard they don’t know how to change a lightbulb there.
It takes several of them to do it but I don’t remember how many.

It's the Texas of Europe. Beautiful country. Clean. Low crime. Conservative values. Diverse economy. Beautiful women. Poland has resisted the mass immigration and woke politics of the rest of Europe. Also, they're tired of being invaded and carved up. They will soon have the second biggest army in Europe, next to Ukraine.
This guy knows. I spent much of 2023/2024 in Poland and absolutely loved it. Warsaw was neat and Old Town Krakow was beautiful but Sandomierz and Rzeszow were my favorites. A highlight of all my travel was hanging out in Rzeszow’s old square, watching their national team play a soccer match outdoors with locals buying me and my buddy multiple rounds of Zywiec.

Germany de-industrialized and brought in way too many nonproducers, if they don’t radically change course a full economic and cultural collapse is not out of the question.

One of my best friends grew up in communist Poland.
Needless to say he hates communists
I had a boss once who was a Polish-born American citizen. He left Poland around age 10, lived his teen years in Africa (his father was a math professor), then moved to SoCal with his father where he went to college.
Brilliant dude. Could speak 6 languages fluently. He told me that he despised the Nazis, but he absolutely could not stand Russians. He hated them worse than the Nazis.

I spent all of my time in Poland in Wroclaw. Women are hot (one social video I saw was interviewing a hot chick, and she said "In US I'm a 9, in Poland, I'm 6.5" which pretty much nails it.) One thing I noticed is that there are more MMA stores and MMA gyms/regular gyms per capita than I think I've seen in any other country in Europe.
And don't sleep on Polish culture, there are a ton of astronomers, composers, etc., that were Poles, and they're rightfully proud of it.

He hated the Vietnamese, while I don’t agree with that one either, I at least somewhat understand what got him there.
