Any of you guys that got in a wreck get any sort of ticket?
Nope, the Alabama State Police came to the hospital, wrote out a report then took us back to the totaled car to get our luggage and some possessions then took us to the Greyhound Station. Bus to NO came in about 15 minutes.

Yes im undergrad , last final of a semester, pulled an all nighter, took the final , drove 2 hours home on I-55 and I don’t remember much of that drive. I know I was nodding off a bunch. I should not have continued driving

Yes, nodded off for a second. Scared the shite outta me.
Driving home from Lake Chuck to San Antonio. I dozed off on the Katy Freeway. My family in-tow, and everyone was asleep...including me. Talk about some scary shite.

A few times. It pissed me off because I was in the middle of sending texts.

I had a dream once I was sleeping while driving. I woke up and I was really driving.
I pulled over and put the flashers on and got a nice nap.

Yep, got to be a habit some 20 years ago. Right after lunch every damn day I'd get sleepy and if I had to drive over 10 to 20 minutes I'd get sleepy as hell.
Did a sleep study, got a CPAP, have not had one issue since.

Yeah, pure exhaustion one time when I was like 21. After a 14 hour drive

Yep one time. Was on way back from camping trip with my nephews about midnight. I knew I must've fallen asleep because I didn't remember the space of time between being on the road and hitting the noise strips on shoulder. After that I pulled into a closed gas station and gagged down a couple tablespoons of straight instant coffee from the camping stuff.
Scary to think what might of happened to my nephews if those stupid noise divots weren't there.....

pulled an overnight shift at Johnson Space Center (MCC) and lived just a bit southwest of Astrodome. Exited I-45 to I-610 South Loop, and 2-3 minutes later I dozed off for I suppose a few seconds. Woke up to my wheels scraping the jersey barrier on my side, and I snapped back into control. Only a bit of wheel and fender cosmetic damage.
Since then, I have mastered the art of the 10-30 minute nap on at a safe location off of the highway. Done it MANY times, including on Monday around 1pm near Beaumont, TX (a shady area at a tire shop that was closed for Memorial Day).

I've nodded off for a second or two before but managed to wake up before I wrecked. Diesel engines are like a sleeping pill to me. A buddy of mine fell asleep once and crashed us into a tree. I broke several bones but he did't get a scratch.

I had to do 21 hours from Kansas City to San Diego. Popped NO Doze like skittles. Had to punch my self in the face several times, get out the car and do jumping jacks.

I did my junior in high school on my way to football practice at 8 am on a Saturday. We had gotten back at 3 am that morning.
Gotten back from what at 3am? A road game from the night before? And your coach made the team practice at 8am?
If I was your parent I would’ve been fricking livid. Playoffs or not, that’s completely irresponsible, as your story clearly indicates. Please tell me this dude was chewed out by someone at the very least.

I remember one time I took my last final after pulling an all nighter study session and had to work afterwards (I worked at TGI Fridays at Cortana Mall). I drove home and fell asleep in the parking space outside of my apartment. I snapped awake sometime later and saw the brick wall of my apartment building in front of me. I didn't realize I was in a parked car, and I jammed on the brakes and yelled, "Oh, shite!". It took me a couple of seconds to realize that the car was parked and that I wasn't going to hit the wall going 50 mph...

Many times over the years. I have sleep apnea and I have been very lucky to have never wrecked. Used to be in Death Valley every Saturday night. When sleep apnea started I had to stop driving long distances. Even w/ c pap & 8 hrs of sleep I can't drive the long trips

Yes, woke up right as I passed the stop sign crossing the T into an embankment, and slammed on brakes, probably slowed down enough to keep me from getting killed or maimed. Not wearing a seat belt, no air bags in a 76 Camaro.
Drunk and stoned made it hard to stay awake.

Yeah road game. And by practice it was a film session and recovery.

It was the regular season, pre-district.
Our coach was a God in our community lol. Nobody chewed him out and I didn’t blame him at all and still do not.
I shouldn’t have driven if I wasn’t fully awake yet. I literally woke up threw on a shirt and got in my truck in like a 90 second window. Wreck happened like two miles from home.

Got off at 5am one morning after being up since 7am the previous day. Got in the exit lane to get off the interstate and dozed for a second. Woke up just before I was going to smoke the exit sign and was able to swerve and miss it. Scared the hell out of me

I’m oncall tonight. I’ve driven home many times and not remembered doing it . I did a 360 in a parking lot of a convenient store that was in a curve , came out of it back in the road and kept going toward my house. Usually cops are sitting in the lot every night. I’ve fell asleep at red lights , hit a curb just down the street and blew a tire 3 minutes later a local cop pulls up behind me . I told him I swearved to miss a deer. I now sleep at the hospital

Nope, but I have gotten so sleepy and tired I start halucinating.
