Almost happened to me for the first time the other day. Think I nodded off but right when my tires went off the road I snapped to and was able to get back on the road with no problem, was a country road with no traffic thankfully. Scary stuff.

Do a lot of meth before you drive. You'll never fall asleep.

Yes, nodded off for a second. Scared the shite outta me. Kept driving with windows open, radio blaring, chewing gum, anything to keep myself awake until I got home.

I dozed off for just a second about 10 years ago. I almost sideswiped an 18 wheeler.

Scared the shut out of me and I’ve never even come close since then.

Pull over and get coffee or take a power nap baw.

Not worth risking your or others' lives.

I did my junior in high school on my way to football practice at 8 am on a Saturday. We had gotten back at 3 am that morning.

Fell asleep for like five seconds, woke up, over corrected and flipped my truck three times lol. I was fine and it’s still funny to this day to me that when my dad pulled up he offered to take me to practice lmao.

No, but I was riding shotgun when a buddy of mine fell asleep. Driving back from BR to NO after a Phi Mu formal, just outside of Gonzales, look over and my buddy's head is back on the headrest with his eyes closed. I grabbed him and the wheel, shook him to wake up and I drove the rest of the way.

2 weeks later he totaled his car falling asleep at the wheel...

Thank the man who came up with rumble strips...

Put a car in a 12 foot ditch after I overcorrected.

Time slowed to a crawl, all the lights had tails, I saw the telephone pole my driver side door was headed for.

If I hadn't hit the guidewire on the pole, I'd be dead.

I agree 100%, this was just a 15 minute drive home from work, and I didn't feel particularly sleepy.

Happened to me when I was 18. Driving back from Houston to BR and nodded off just before getting to Lake Charles. Floated from the right lane all the way to the left and woke up as I was headed down the median. Ended up stuck in the mud and had to get pulled out by a wrecker...also got a ticket for careless operation i think. It scared the shite out of me. I was super lucky that I didn't kill anyone or myself. Lucky it was a wide median and no trees. Never again

I once drove alone for 24 hours straight from the Bay Area to Bozeman, MT. I was getting close, it was about 7:30 am and I was on a straight two-lane road. I opened my eyes and suddenly realized I was in the wrong lane and a semi was bearing down on me. I got back in my lane with probably 5-10 seconds to spare.

I've never fallen asleep but I have gotten kind of dazed on a long drive and all of the sudden snapped back to reality realizing that I wasn't really paying attention for the past few miles.

Buddy of mine used to make it all the way home from going out, then fall asleep at the wheel in his parents driveway. On more than one occasion his dad woke him up in the morning, car running and still in drive pressing against his dad's truck bumper. True story

Met a guy in rehab that was up for a few days on meth and fell asleep at the wheel and killed someone. Terrible shite

He may have a lawsuit against the manufacturer. They definitely imply that wouldn’t happen.

Any of you guys that got in a wreck get any sort of ticket? You are putting people's lives in danger. Should be punishable.

I did in 2000 in Johnson Bayou heading offshore. Flipped my truck multiple times without a seatbelt and am lucky to still be here.
