Trying to debate if I wanna go to a party or just watch football/drink bourbon at the crib. Feeling lazy as hell and don't wanna move off the couch honestly.

2 very young kids. Just sitting at home and hoping the fireworks don’t wake my kids

I’m right there with you but my wife is dragging me to a NYE party. I’d love to relax and watch football from the couch but instead I have to go pretend to like other people.

You weren’t invited to any parties so you’re going to sit on the couch drinking alone

I'm riding 22' out on my couch and hope to stay up until 10 mainly b/c I have to work in the am....and I'm lazy. Can't wait to read about all the madness that happens overnight.

I used to be all about it but now? Hell I don’t even leave my house. Leave that nonsense to the young folks. I’m perfectly content with a glass of scotch and old British comedies

Watching TCU & Michigan right now. After that I’ll watch UGA & Ohio State. I’ll probably make a bourbon & coke around 8ish. If all goes as planned, I won’t leave the house or see another human other than my wife and daughter again until I go back to work Tuesday.
EatA: if you’re not watching the TCU & Michigan game, you’re missing one of, if not the, best college football games of the season. This is just amazing. I think they’ve combined for 44 points in the 3rd quarter alone.

We haven't done much for NYE in probably 10-15 years.

Cooking some steaks for the family and popping fireworks later. I don’t really like NY but the kids wanted fireworks

riding the couch and watching football. Less chance of getting pinched on way home.

Trying to comfort a stressed dog and a new born baby while it sounds like Fallujah outside. Happy New Years!

I don't even watch football anymore, nor baseball, nor basketball. Been several years so that I wouldn't even recognize most of the penalty calls. For instance, "targeting" was instituted about 2 years after I lost interest so that during the LSU Champ season a couple years ago I disagreed with a lot of calls in games.
Used to simply let players play, but busted eardrums and jaws took away the head slap of Deacon Jones and basically retired him. Today's roughing the passer is ridiculous too except from an economic standpoint. Tackle the guy with the ball, not 2 handed touch, in the strike zone, above the hips and below the shoulders. If a guy can't handle being tackled then let him play tennis or some other less manly sport.
(I got introduced to the website working night shift probably dating back to 2007 or so, lurked a long time before posting to answer the stupid question of why am I on a sports website. It's an entertainment website, granted it's predominantly sports and predominantly football, with baseball and basketball a distant 2nd and 3rd even in championship seasons for LSU. But TD covers a lot of stuff non sporting too.)
