Asking for a friend.

Yup, cost me $350
Got the house, nicer vehicle, no child support, no alimony, 50/50 custody and we get along much better now.
It was just about then I realized my lawyer was a creature from the Paleozoic era...

there a few on here that lie and say it's wonderful but it's not a pleasant experience, and they can't honestly speak for their kids

You’ve come to the right place about your impending divorce.

My uncle said after not having that bitch's presence around, he was able to gain 2" back.

Depends on how much you value being able to frick and buy whatever you want when you want. If you value that at equal or greater than half of your current shite, then you’ll have a pleasant experience. If not, it’s probably going to suck.

I did. I had a great time after the divorce living up the single life. We didn't have any children together though.

If not for my wife getting divorced, we wouldn't be married, so I guess it worked out.

Hell yeah. Best thing I ever did was lose that 125 lbs

Oh, going through it was pure hell and I wanted to end it all at times. It completely destroyed me, but i came out on the other side harder and stronger and better off for it. I was miserable in a marriage with someone who didn’t, and maybe never, loved me. My son was a month old when she left and my little girl was still a toddler, so really it was all they knew. Better for it that way really. I’m glad she had the strength to do it.
They are starting to ask why now...I tell them to ask their mom. I don’t want to say anything negative about her, because she could have done me dirty and taken me for everything, but she didn’t. She could have ruined me financially, and had me so I never would have recovered.
It’s one thing to break a man’s heart, but to keep kicking him in the nuts through his wallet is just cruel. She did me a solid for that and it allowed me to move on and actually find some happiness in life again.
It was a kinder cruelty she did me in setting me free, because I never would have done it myself.

I haven't seen or heard from my first wife since we signed the divorce papers, which is fine by me. I hope all the bad things in life happen to her and nobody else but her.

Well, usually you no longer have to live with the wife. So, that would be a positive.

i lucked out but it took me almost 10 years to completely recover financially.
divorce decimates your savings, property ownership, 401ks and IRAs/Roths and of course after that you still get to have your salary garnished for alimony and possibly for child support (i retained custody of the kids).
sucks big time but the best thing to ever happen to me.
i have 3 really good friends who were living the dream and very well off and i'm sad to say none of them have recovered yet.
its literally like starting over again.

Got the kids and her out of my life (almost entirely). 100% positive from my perspective.
Edit- A better quality ladies dig single fathers who are responsible.

I ended up marrying the second woman I dated after my divorce. Literally the woman of my dreams. Smart, selfless, doesn't bitch or blow money, and absolutely knock down beautiful.
And hell no you frickers ain't getting any pics.
So yeah, I'd call that positive.

same i was one of the rare birds who had a fair judge who saw through her bullshite and gave me sole custody of my 2 young children.
best thing that ever happened to me and them.
divorced almost 15 years ago now and she's still bat shite crazy but my youngest is 18 and in college now so luckily my interactions with her have dropped to almost zero now.

, going through it was pure hell
ex was pure evil and tried to destroy everything she touched, the only relief I got is that she drank herself to death, she was literally still trying to frick with me up until the month she died, after having been divorced for almost twenty years, did a number on the kids
