Any improvement plans in the works for Lee Dr. in Baton Rouge?

Just moved back to BR and have to drive this stretch daily, and holy shite this road is worse than peak Essen a decade ago.
Surely with the amount of traffic through there, and schools in the area, there’s something in the works.

So it’s still in the right of way acquisition phase with no mention of improvements to the current roadways.

Those discussions abt Lee Dr and improvements to it were being discussed back in the mid 90s when I lived there. Over 30 years ago.

And your neighbors killed the project back then. Unlike some of the other infrastructure projects. It hasn't been in the planning or design phase for 30 years.

BR is totally broke so I doubt it. Lee dr between Southdowns and Highland has some bumps that’ll rattle your teeth

Take a right going up Lee onto Highland (has a turning lane). It’s like rock climbing.

The neighbors along there have fought it for years. Spineless politicians have given in and now they both loose because traffic is a nightmare and there is no money for a big project like that. Lesson: don’t listen to the NIMBYs.
