France only had 50 deaths yesterday, while UK had 400

For a long time, the 2 nations were on an almost identical pandemic curve, yet France decline in deaths has been much steeper last 3 weeks or so

Is it a reporting issue?

I'm sure it has something to do with racism.

Maybe the death rate retreating in France is cultural?

video below cites 2 reasons

1) nursing homes (care homes in UK) they were doing the same thing that New York did with positive cases

2) their lockdown wasn't as strict as the rest of Europe

Their lockdown was certainly more strict than in the US although like us, they were late to lock down. But the UK is more densely populated than france which contributes to the spread.

UK was very late to lockdown. Boris Johnson pushed for "herd immunity" approach early on.

Perhaps the virus became French in France, and picked up their national pastime of retreat and surrender.

Very much this.

You have to dig so far with qualifying info. How are they counting, are they up to date, who is releasing the info.

I haven't seen apples compared to apples anywhere.
