You have people double/triple chasing the same thing, it's ineffective. It's a misuse of resources to appease the public mindset.

So what would you call for them to do? This is above board for just the local Brooklyn PD to handle.

Put a reasonable small group together to go after things. Obvious a state or federal level crew would need to be brought in. They could assign some work out, like chasing down the fitbit data to resources that can do that better and faster. Basically a standard investigation. Throwing the world at it won't find her faster and costs a ton of money.

All seem to be domestic though, ex girlfriends and such. Not going after random people.

The fact that he turned down a lie detector doesn't say much either. They are unreliable and a lot of lawyers say don't do them no matter the situation. Kind of shitty for the media to torment the guy before he is an actual suspect.

The pig farmer is guilty of something. May not have anything to do with girls disappearance. But he’s guilty of something.

No, that's why I was asking. He seem like a good old fashioned creeper?

I'd also throw in the fact that sex trafficking is and has been a huge deal in Omaha. It really ramps up in the summer around the CWS. Since I-80 & I-29 go through Omaha that just makes it even more of a big deal.

I have no doubt this drives the interest, though I'd be really surprised if it is related.

But you're 100% right that a lot of people (mostly women) will immediately wonder if she's been subject to a "Taken"-style kidnapping, even though that's exceedingly rare from what I can tell.

Every time I see my 22 year old daughter, I tell her to be careful. This is a parent's worst nightmare.

This is a pretty alarming statistic on the matter: LINK

quote:
According to the Women’s Fund of Omaha, which is leading the effort against trafficking, 900 people are sold for sex online in Nebraska every month; about 75 percent show signs of being trafficked.

These stats are mostly bullshite. The threshold for what these agencies are calling “trafficking” is extremely low.

Drug addict with a pimp is 100 percent considered trafficked, even if she chose that lifestyle (and many do).

In reality, as long as she hasn't been found dead, there is a chance she is a live. And as long as you don't know what happen, it could be anything. The odds are against her being alive, but maybe there is something to her running off with some other dude. Who knows?

That's crazy. I never would have thought that about Omaha.

I don't know if it's the pig farmer or not but they are going to keep ratcheting up the pressure on him. Is there a way they can get a warrant to test the pig shite for human remains or is this a massive pig farm where that would be impossible?
