I'm giving up temperance.

Grocery store sushi
I guess that is one step above gas station sushi. I am sorry Sushi can be very questionable and be explosive to one's colon.

Nah. What food I do or don’t eat on a certain day of the week during a period of time in the year makes no difference in the world or to my family

I do - although in South Louisiana no meat is not all that big a sacrifice given the great seafood we have for me it makes you think and think about why you are doing that and for me anyway can make me think about the way I'm acting and behaving and do better.
Nothing about guilt for me - just trying to live the intent of it and give it up to honor the sacrifice I believe was done for me.
As for Lenten obligations I don't always "Give up" something, sometimes I'll try to do something positive instead. Like do a better job of listening, or something in that vein.

I'm fasting from anger and alcohol this Lenten season. The goal is to leave them behind, as it should be for any Lenten sacrifice. Kids give up candy for 6 weeks then go back to it after. Adults should be more thoughtful about the end goal, i.e. who you want to be after Lent.
I encourage everyone to practice this one, even if you don't associate it with faith or sacrifice to God.

I’m back on the Keto wagon today. Too many health benefits for me not to do it.

I am Baptist. My wife a Catholic. I enjoy doing it with her, yes it is often a delicious seafood meal, so not a sacrifice. But the awareness keeps Christ in your mind, and that isn’t a bad thing.

Friday no meat?
Ah yes. Lets sacrifice and fast by not eating meat on Friday.
Instead we will gorge ourselves weekly on crawfish, crab and shrimp. Probably chased down by a few beers.
The sacrifice we make for Jesus.

Yes, I do Lent. I decided to increase my alms giving, and pray more.
