I put some curb feelers, spoke rims and fuzzy dice hanging from the mirror on my F150

When I was in high school and early college, sure.

Now a days, making about 150x more money than I did back then, I couldnt imagine spending money on something so frivolous unless that was my only hobby.

Modifying a vehicle is dumb.

I have a ramp van that has to be modified, you are messing with things that will cause you problems in the long run. Where its putting huge tires on your vehicle, huge rims, whatever. Its a vehicle to get you from point A to point B.

I thought about lifting my Expedition but that thought went away pretty quickly.

ETA: I don’t know now. Looks ok

Nope. It doesn’t make sense to keep investing in a depreciating asset. I just buy a reliable vehicle and maintain it.

Funny you should ask. I have a former VIR racecar that has issues with fuel delivery. It was basically a stock vehicle modded for a 24hour class, has a full cage and adjustable suspension.

Was just this AM looking at YT videos on converting to carburetor. Goal would be to get it done in August once I get back from vacation.

Then this winter I'll pull the motor and rebuild it with a little more compression, better heads, and a roller cam. Can't wait.

Sure, but realistically the added weight of the AR500 plates would do a number on fuel efficiency.

If you add after market extra loud exhaust pipes to your truck I seriously hope you wrap yourself around a tree and die a slow death.

There's a dude in Chattanooga who has a jet black Chevy Express that has the ATeam red swoosh on it. He's got it lifted with knobby mud tires. See it around town sometimes.

It's cool AF.

I had a few. Everything from a '68 Cougar that I dropped a built 351W in with Mustang2 suspension and disk brakes to an '89 Mustang with the 5.0 stroked out to 427. Now, I enjoy building motorcycles. Built Scramblers, Cafe and Bobbed bikes.

I did so when I was younger and spent a lot of time tuning, maintaining it, replacing broken parts, etc.

My thoughts are simple, it's your vehicle, your vision, your money and your time. As long as your mods don't compromise the safety of your passengers, yourself and others on the road, then have at it.

Same. These days I have no interest. I just want a vehicle that gets me from point A to point B.

I want to lower my Canyon about 4 inches and put a built LS motor in it but then I would need a stronger transmission and rear end. Might as well buy a Corvette
