Take it from me buy the cheapest shite u can.
It’s the worse investment on the planet, you will be lucky to get 1/3 of it if u sell it

Go to a pawn shop and buy diamonds. Much cheaper.

Lab grown diamonds are trashy

When my wife and I got married.
You have wedding, kids coming up, trying to get a house, furniture for the house, insurance, and everything else.
My Aunt worked for a company that designed jewelry and we went together to let my at that time future wife pick out the ring.
43 yrs later I am good.
Tried to buy her Pearls when my business did well, and she got mad as she don’t like jewelry.

Diamonds have little to no actual value and they aren’t rare or scarce.
De Beers has a great racket going on, regulating "scarcity" and worldwide diamond prices. Knowing what I know now, I'd never buy another geologically formed diamond again.
De Beers has tons of them that have been sitting in vaults around the world for years. The Russians also have a huge stockpile they hoard.
Synthetic diamonds are fine for decorative purposes.

It's fine for kids. Why not diamonds?

I prefer my diamonds like the lithium in my EV battery: that they first pass through the calloused bloodied hands of a Sierra Leonean child.

I don’t think it really matter. My only advice would be to let your SO know it’s a lab diamond if you get one

You won’t get anywhere close to what you paid if you try to sell either, so you might as well go lab.
Go to the forums on pricescope & read a lot if you aren’t very familiar with diamonds. It’s a great resource.

Bought from VRAI at her suggestion.
She was able to get the size caret she wanted and while it still cost a fair amount - no where near what a “natural” diamond would. It’s beautiful and she absolutely loves it.
Win Win Win.
You don’t have to purchase an over-inflated natural diamond in order to get a nice stone. Would recommend.

There's a lot of downvoters and posters in this thread that know nothing about lab grown diamonds. I guess this thread is similar to most on the OT.

Yes. Best decision ever. Massive perfect stone on her hand for half the cost. I was straight up about it too and she approved.
The only chemical difference is nitrogen in a natural diamond. You’re paying for nothing by getting a “real” one. It’s completely for suckers.

Went through this looking for an emerald cut diamond which means any inclusions were very visible. I noticed the lab grown diamonds had noticeably more impurities even though they had identical clarity ratings, especially as you get above 1.5 carats. If the cut your looking for hides impurities better, lab grown can save you a lot.

I have a family member who wanted a 90k ring but then offered to go with the lab grown for maybe 40 percent cheaper. Her husband was appreciative.

My wife's ring has a chip and one of the surrounding diamonds fell out...just told her about this thread and option and she is interested in replacing with lab grown...paid 13k for the first one, looks like I can get better for less than 3k

Frick that.
Blood diamonds only in this house.
The bloodier the better.
