Yeah, it's less likely too because we haven't had any riots/unrest that were really close to areas where these types of dudes live.

If Antifa ever follows through with the occasional (likely made up) rumors about going to ______ suburb to cause chaos, you might actually get the beatdowns we'd all like to see. But the stuff last night happened in a very small area of downtown where few locals live (and not our type of people). So you'd need regular bags to gear up and drive 20-45 minutes on a Saturday night to get to the party and that makes it even more likely you'd get arrested. Regular dudes are not going to do that to protect some windows for accounting firms.

Even in Portland I think this is the case. Hence all the scraps happen when there is a counterrally of conservative groups.

And ultimately, there just aren't enough Antifa types outside of the urban hotbeds to make organic conflict a reality. Outside of Portland/SF/etc. Antifa actions in the South or Midwest will look like last night - 20 dudes from other places managing to set a cop car on fire before they all get arrested. 2020 was different because those 20 dudes could activate a few hundred BLM types.

I am friends with several people involved in the APB project at a very high level. Guys who bi-weekly meet with the Atlanta Chief of Police, and the reps from the State and Federal agencies who will use this facility upon completion. They are not playing around but can’t go in heavy handed and blast these idiots to oblivion. Their response the other night was quick and decisive given their rules of engagement. The goal is to outlast the agitators by issuing the stiffest penalties available. Most are being held on federal terrorism charges with no bail option. Eventually, the ranks of the willing agitators will dwindle to nothing with every loser that is put away and can’t be bailed out by their puppeteers.
